Why You Need To Always Be True To Yourself

As we all know, being true to ourselves can be a daunting challenge in our modern world. There are so many forces and influences trying to persuade us to rely on them instead of our own inner resources and knowing. And yet the only reliable resources and true knowing come only from within each of us.
As my spirit guides often say, our inner guidance is always our highest and best authority.
The channelling we did, below, was not at all what I expected when we came up with that title above. I can never predict what my guides are going to say. Maybe that’s a good thing.
Spirit
You are all moving into a new, higher dimension while still in your physical bodies. This is also true of your animals, wild and domestic.
The old ways of the world, you’ve probably noticed, no longer work well. The reason is you are all vibrating at a much higher rate than the old energy could ever hope to achieve.
In short, old energy — old ways — old thoughts — simply do not work for you. It’s time to turn inward and stop looking outward for answers.
While it might seem paradoxical and puzzling, looking inward — being true to yourself, trusting your inner guidance, your higher wisdom — will help you deal far more powerfully and effectively with the world “out there.”
In truth, there is no world out there. There is only the world you project out there from within here. As you are fond of saying, you create your own reality.
That is literally true. You create the world you see and experience. If you don’t like what you see, accept responsibility for it. Then move on and exercise your divine right and power to create what you do want to see and experience.
You have that much power. Use it. Be true always to yourself.

In this short video Ellen de Generes, after being publicly chastised by a homophobic pastor, gives an eloquent (and hilarious) response to him.

In the early 1980s John took a spiritual development course, and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.
Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.”
