It Just Got Personal

It Just Got Personal

O.K., so I get it.  This corona virus pandemic is forcing folks to slow down, and in many cases stop all the frenetic running around in their life.  And, who knows, maybe a handful of them will take that opportunity to heart, and become more self-aware, and even start to question their reality.  It’s a great take off point for their own awakening.

Sadly, though, most folks will pull in something else to use as a distraction and drama.

The virus itself is a manifestation of an imbalance in the consciousness on the planet.  And as such, it’s playing itself out.  Which is fine.

But meanwhile, it has taken away, at least temporarily, my usual places I like to sit and have coffee in the morning.

Now officially it just got personal!

So this morning I ended up at a different cafe, not a Starbucks.  It turned out o.k.   I enjoyed a nice dark roast brew.  I savored that coffee more than usual, because I knew it was going to be just a matter of time before they too will have take-out only.

IN AND OUT

What I find so interesting is that many of us have already gone through isolating ourselves in this enlightenment process.  We severed ties, stopped going to crowded places, and spent lots of time alone.

And while we are much more discerning about where we do spread our time, many of us are now re-emerging into daylight.  We are beginning to enjoy being out and about.

We don’t need no stinkin’ excuse for self-isolation.  When we want to, we go within and spend time alone.  We have become naturals at it.  We are not afraid to explore our inner world.  In fact we are done with that phase for the most part. Now many of us are just into enjoying life.

So once again we seem to be out of step with the rest of the world, where people are now isolating themselves.  But it’s more out of fear, and not out of a desire to self-reflect.  Not so much to discover who they really are.

Meanwhile, I am preparing myself for a potential situation in which I will have to brew my coffee at home.  And by brew, I mean heat up some water. I’ve got several single cup packets of Starbucks French Roast on hand for these emergency situations.
