Here’s my spiritual guidance May 2025, covering the lunar month beginning with the Taurus new moon on April 27th at 8.31pm (in the UK) through to May 26th.

Every new lunar month I draw one card from the Thoth Tarot to spark intuitive insight about the key energy to navigate by during the coming four weeks. I then take a quick look at the astrology.

Spiritual guidance May 2025 inspired by the Tarot

I know you’ll be relieved to hear it so let me start by saying that this month is going to be considerably quieter and calmer than the preceding months have been. Phew! The number six is one of harmony and balance, truth and beauty, and offers a welcome safe haven for a time if you choose to enter it. Many of you have been struggling personally with confusion, difficulty, stress and anxiety, and you can expect smoother sailing on these ever shifting waters for the next four weeks at least.

As a swords card, this month highlights thoughts, ideas, and communications arising from the clear-sightedness of an objective, holistic point of view. This is not the mere logical mind in action here, it’s the heart-mind which holds a spiritual view of the world rather than an emotionally-driven human one. From this space, you can explore any issue, subject, or problem from both sides, arriving at a soulful truth that encompasses things as they are really are not as you might want them to be. Wherever there has been trouble or struggle in your life, you have the opportunity to comprehend it more deeply and completely, to see the wider patterns at play. This brings a form of peace, where necessary decisions are easier to make and solutions found.

Once you have integrated that fully informed truth, you can talk to other people about it in a peaceful, compassionate way that enables them to hear and understand you. If relationships have been bumpy then there’s a real opportunity to smooth them out with a greater than usual fairness and a willingness to listen to each other. If you’re feeling inspired to research, learn, or study a new subject, then you’re likely to find it both fascinating and liberating. You may well be introduced to a whole new set of helpful contacts and friendships too.

The Rosicrucian Cross in the centre of this card is the universal symbol of integration, synthesis, and spiritual blessing. Mercury in Aquarius speaks of divine messages coming through to you that support the approaching new age of healing, justice, equality, unity, and freedom for all. This feels to me both personal and collective.

The subtitle of this card is Science which takes me to a subject I’ve mentioned many times before over recent years. I have a sense of humanity having reached the same turning point now that led to the fall of Atlantis. I believe many of us incarnated now were present then, and we’ve returned specifically to prevent history repeating itself. In that long ago great civilization, the rise of technology pulled its citizens irrevocably away from spiritual, heart-based, feminine values to favour solely a focus on a scientific, mind-focused, and masculine approach to life. It ended badly. The wound of this rupture between mind and heart, spirit and human is one that deeply shadows our collective unconscious. It’s ensnared humanity in the current nightmare of hatred, war, mistrust, isolationism, and suffering for so many. I feel the next four weeks opens a space in which to heal this wound, restoring wholeness and balance.

Explore your own relationship to mind and heart. Which do you favour for decision making? Do you tend to neglect or even ignore one over the other? Do you have a relationship with the Other Than Human world? Can you feel a sense of connection and belonging within a life-sustaining energy web that unites the entire cosmos? What is your unique place and purpose within this whole? As you begin to answer these questions, you heal and whole imbalance, separation, and disconnection within yourself. The resulting transformation ripples out to restore humanity so we can reclaim our rightful place in relationship with All That Is, living in harmony with Its natural rhythms and cycles.

In the wider world, you could hear of discussions and breakthroughs around more ethical and regenerative use of science and technology. AI might be key here, both its ethical uses and its healthy limitation. I feel it’s important that you understand your individual stance on integrating technology and AI into your life; what is acceptable and not for you from here on. I also feel there could be new ideas sparked around how to purify our planet’s waters and oceans. I’m sensing, too, more and more people connecting up to create wide-ranging networks, think-tanks, and proactive groups to help create new ways of being together in this world.

As you know, solar activity and the Schumann resonance continue to reach unprecedented levels. This month I sense the 60 – 80% water in our physical bodies absorbing cosmic messages that stimulate ancient wisdom and knowledge to rise to the surface for remembrance. This wisdom is to benefit all, and set us on a definite course towards a more harmonious future. You may find that you’re prompted to travel over, on, or near water to help optimize this integration. If nothing else, being in the presence of natural sources of water can soothe, refresh, and restore your being greatly.

In this spiritual guidance May 2025 I hear an urgent spiritual call here to shift from “I” to “we”, entraining your will with the cosmic pulse and synchronizing you with the divine plan. Just imagine the beauty of the world we can co-create from that space!

Guidance April/May 2025 from astrology

The new moon in Taurus on the 27th April is square to Mars and Pluto, bringing fears, resentments and unrest to a head and demanding action. Venus enters Aries on the 30th, where she becomes the sword-wielding spiritual warrior, doing what has to be done in defense of love and beauty. As she conjuncts Neptune around the 2nd May, a planetary evolution begins that hints at what’s to come in the longer term.

Unsettling information revealed by the Scorpio full moon on the 12th means you’ll need tolerance and a willingness to learn to respond creatively to what you now know. Demands for changes in material values on every level have to be the primary concern in the bigger picture view that’s evolving. Disruptions and tensions continue to build to a crisis point as Saturn enters Aries and connects with Neptune on the 25th. Together, they offer the potential to make the vision a reality.
