Stay Flexible To Manifest Change

Here’s my spiritual guidance for June/July 2023, covering the month beginning with the Gemini new moon at 5.37am on June 18th (in the UK).

The element of earth comes to the fore for your focus this month with the Two of Disks; it’s all about your physical resources and how you choose to use them for manifesting the reality you want to experience. The number two suggests you’re in or will be in the early stages of new approaches and methods to managing resources and manifesting with them, as is suggested by the subtitle on the card; “Change.”

Yes, there’s that word again! It can cause fear to rear up in the face of uncertainty and insecurity as what is known and familiar begins to shift and destabilize all around you.

But you know what they say: The only constant in life is change. And here you’re being advised to adapt and open yourself to different ways of managing and using your money, food, work, energy, and even your own body to maintain health. This card is all about balance, particularly the balancing of two opposing forces, as represented by the yin yang symbol shown in the centre of the two circles. In the external world, this means looking at what money is coming in and going out, the ratio of work and rest/play in your routine; how sustainable and in harmony with the cycles of the earth is your food consumption and purchasing? Do you use green energy to minimize the impact on the earth? Do you garden organically and without the use of harmful chemicals? You’ll probably need to do a bit of juggling and deft handling in two or more of these areas to keep it all balanced and flowing but it’s definitely manageable with some effort.

The other symbolism of the number 2 is relationship. So, all the things I’ve mentioned above indicate a need to consider the others (human and other than human) around you who are affected by your practical choices and actions. Perhaps your partner, friends or family get neglected because you work too much. Could you consider being more flexible with your hours or even seeking different work? Are you harming the habitation for insects and wild animals in the way you manage your piece of land, however small? Could you support a local food-grower by buying organic and eating only what is in season, so keeping money circulating within your immediate economy? Everything is part of a greater whole and so any choice has an effect beyond its immediate environment.

Of course, sometimes change is not your choice and arrives entirely unwanted. The Two of Disks suggest this is very likely over the coming four weeks, and you’ll need to adopt a flexible attitude to make the most of the situations arising. Don’t resist or cling to the old and comfortable or try to push against the flow, but go with what is happening naturally. Adopt a playful and creative approach to the challenge of adapting, rather than sinking into fearful worry – energy follows thought and feeling. Although it might not seem like it right now, any change or obstacle that arrives this month will be enriching if you can accept and even welcome it. Later on, the promise is that you’ll be able to see the benefits the resulting shift has brought you. After all, without the cycle of beginning/end/renewal (in other words transformation) there would be no life at all.

On the internal and energy levels, there are two possibilities. One is that you may find your energy and well-being fluctuating wildly. Try to maintain a calm centre throughout with whatever works for you, for example breathing exercises and meditation, and respond as much as possible to what your body and being is asking for at different times to maintain equilibrium.

The other possibility is an indication that you need to move from being one-sided to being inclusive in your attitude to something. If all opposites are just the flip side of one and the same truth, then maybe you need to explore the opposite point of view to the one you’re holding currently to give you a more holistic understanding of a subject, situation or person. Doing this can allow a breakthrough for resolution that rigid thinking and dogmatic views simply won’t allow. These shifts and changes are also going to be visible on the global scale, of course. I can easily see how this might apply to many conflicts and stalemates that are currently and painfully apparent within the sphere of the physical world and resources. I can whole-heartedly welcome these kinds of changes and accommodate any part I may have to play in them.

Guidance for June/July 2023 from astrology

There’s a planetary position with this Gemini new moon that reminds us of the seeds planted at the Winter Solstice of 2020; and only a couple of days before the Summer Solstice. This means the humanitarian and inclusive ideals and ideas that were seeded back then can now be developed effectively in a supportive environment. Judgement and discipline should be strong enough to recognize deception and connect with the spirit-inspired imagination necessary to make them a reality. Possibilities are abundant up to and beyond the full moon on the 3rd of July, although there’s extreme sensitivity and quick tempers to navigate along the way. From 10th July it’s important not to cling to old ways and methods that may just be too slow, and find something new (which takes us nicely back to the Two of Disks).
