The Deliciousness Of Life Awaits Your Discovery

The Deliciousness Of Life Awaits Your Discovery

While we all take turns enjoying the changing of the seasons, here in the U.S. summer is still in full swing.

It’s so wonderful after making our way through a very intense few years to see families once again picnicking, and children playing outdoors, as we are nourished by rays of sunshine that remind us of a light always alive within us. One of my favorite ways to enjoy each season is by embracing the incredible bounty of fruits and vegetables that become available during certain times of the year.

Because summer highlights a variety of tomatoes and melons, I wanted to share a recipe with you that I channeled this past weekend.

Have You Ever Tried This Before?

Much like how I channel my teachings, each recipe comes to me directly from Source as a way of helping me embrace each meal as both a work of art and act of self-love. In celebration of tomatoes and melon, I created a cantaloupe and cherry tomato caprese salad. I cut melon into rectangular shapes and stacked it like an open box.

I placed halves of cherry tomato face up at the corners of the melon stack. I then put tiny pieces of fresh mozzarella cheese (I use Buffalo di Mozzarella) atop each piece of tomato. I did this, so each bite combines the sweetness of melon, the sweet earthy acidity of tomato with the slightly salty creaminess of the cheese. To bump up the flavor profile, I finished with lemon zest, ribbons of basil, a sprinkle of feta cheese for an extra creamy pungent note to reinforce the qualities of the mozzarella and bring out the juiciness of the tomato and melon, along with a drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of coarse sea salt.

It is incredibly refreshing and has a tremendous amount of nutrition and artistry packed into a dish just under 250 calories. If you are vegan, you can easily replace the cheese with a tablespoon of almond ricotta cheese smeared across the plate. I personally love the Kite Hill brand which is available at any natural foods market.

From my heart to yours, may this time in history remind us to embrace the beauty of life as opportunities for your inner artist to step forward and express all the delicious gifts you were born to share.

Please enjoy each section of this newsletter and all the love it offers your heart.

How to Meet Hatred with Love

We don’t meet hatred with hate. Hatred already exists in its most defeated state, insisting on judging, attacking, and denigrating the innocence of others as a refusal to surrender. To respond to hatred with hate only fuels the refusal to surrender that empowers hatred to search for more victims to affect. This means trying to rationalize with irrational perspectives only feeds the hate of unconsciousness. Therefore, the question remains, how do we assist hatred in surrendering no matter how desperately it avoids such a crucial breaking point?

Only love can do that. Not a love that can be earned, but a love that acts as blessings of remembrance that help hatred lose sight of its next victim and accept the defeat it is destined to endure. It is not a love we offer in response to good behavior or a reward we withhold through offerings of shame. It is a love that infuses each individual with all they need to heal and transform; revealing the wholeness in every heart that always has the power to bring those lurking in the shadows out of hiding.

Love is a rescue mission for both victim and predator. Only when love is offered to both sides may our world become a living reality of inclusivity versus injustice. This is the mission at hand. It is where unity is awakened on a collective level, as we each allow the power of love to have the final say. Welcome to the glory of love in action.
