One of the biggest misconceptions in personal growth is a pattern of waiting for signs or a specific feeling in your body before making newly-inspired choices.

Whether influenced by the idea of not taking trips or signing contracts during Mercury retrograde or merely just a fear of things not working out without the right wave of energy moving you along, such examples highlight the lingering superstitions that can keep you lost in a spiritual ego versus daring to venture beyond it.

In truth, anyone with unprocessed pain or emotional density is bound to manifest circumstances that help them face and feel what has yet to be fully processed. If existing in a conventional ego structure, you are likely to believe it is due to some form of bad luck or somehow life being against you. When a conventional ego becomes a spiritual ego, the same degree of victim consciousness takes on spiritual reasons for things being the way they are. Instead of believing life is out to get you, the spiritual ego assigns the blame to bad karma, retribution from past lives, a disastrous astrological chart, or even negative thinking.

When the spiritual ego leads the way, a highly-compulsive and superstitious way of life unfolds. While it is believed that big decisions cannot be made unless all stars align, there is a far greater truth that always exists to be seen. Since the spiritual ego lives to control the ebbing and flowing of life through spiritual concepts, it all begins to unravel once you realize life will be what it will be despite the amount of daily rituals you implement.

Once you are able to view the nature of outcome as a teacher along your path, bringing up any degree of emotion solely based on what is next in line to be faced and felt within you, there becomes a willingness to embrace free will as how you choose to respond to the outcomes that are meant to be. This may also help you make sense of one of the biggest misconceptions in the art of manifestation—instead of believing you have the power to manifest outcomes, you are far more likely to align with the light by making small mindful choices that focus on which version of self you are manifesting into existence regardless of the circumstances in play.

Even when you envision an outcome and it becomes what manifests, it’s more a sign of how intuitively aligned you are with Universal Will than evidence that you imagined something out of thin air. Even when you intuit an outcome that comes to be, it only occurs in fleeting moments when the Universe is helping you to trust your intuition on a deeper level and not to be taken as a sign that you are supposed to regularly know each outcome before it dawns.

When it comes to the art of moving forward, all you need to do is take one step in a different direction. Even if you find yourself asking, 'What’s the first step—either toward a better circumstance or away from any toxic environment?' you will always find an immediate starting point when you dare to ask such a direct question. This is much more practical and helpful than asking ‘What’s in my way?’ which is often a question designed to help you avoid forward movement by ruminating over your favorite spiritual concepts.

It is why today’s insight is an equally bold and incredibly simple three-step principle:

1. When inspired, move forward.
2. When in doubt, move forward.
3. If exhausted or overwhelmed, just take smaller steps.

While love is the force of healing helping you through each stage of your journey, it’s never meant to be used as a mechanism of avoidance. Even when you recognize that you need more love, not less, I invite you to love yourself through the process of moving forward, not instead of the important steps waiting to be embraced.

From this space of heart-centered consciousness, you may come to realize that life cannot be avoided. By design, life ensures that you experience every intricate detail of your journey, which unfolds according to the perfection of Universal Will—regardless of how doomed you feel, how disempowering the past may have been, or how little hope you hold that things will improve.

Life will always be far greater than you can ever imagine it. Whether you see it this way or not, life is already in the process of showing you the way. If you've been waiting for a sign, may these words offer you the confirmation you need to boldly go where no version of you has ever gone before. As always, the loving grace of the Universe is with you every step of the way.
