Time to Spread Your Wings!

Time to Spread Your Wings!

Greetings, Luminous One!

It’s really true that sometimes we don’t know what we need until we feel the void of where it used to be.

Here’s what I mean…

As some of you know, for about 7 years, I’ve led groups to wildly diverse locations in order to connect with earth energies and the ancient cultures surrounding them.

We’ve climbed hillsides and mountains, scrambled down to rivers and trekked across fields in order to vibe with the potent frequencies emanating from the land. Each trip has been unique and special, not just for the landscapes, but for the intrepid travelers who chose to explore with me.

Then that all came to a halt for obvious reasons until last week when I got on a plane for headed for Flagstaff, AZ to meet up with the new intrepid travelers and Jan, my co-leader. Back in the saddle again.

To my surprise, I was greeted by such a lovely, lively group of women that I had a crushing moment of feeling the void of group feminine kinship that was the result of the isolated life I’d been living for nearly 3 years.  At the same time that I felt the lack of it, I started soaking it up like a dry sponge.

I don’t think I’m alone in this. My guess is that we’ve all been holding our breath for the last 3 years, just waiting for the next disaster shoe to fall. As a result, we’ve become somewhat atrophied in subtle ways we sometimes can’t even perceive.

This is why Adventure is our theme this month. Adventure takes us out of what has become our comfort zone so we can rub up against the unusual to once again become free souls.

There’s a Dixie Chicks song called “Wide Open Spaces” with these lyrics that I love:

She needs wide open spaces
Room to make the big mistakes
She needs new faces
She knows the highest stakes

After 10 days in the wide-open, magnificent Southwest, that sentiment sure rang true for me. The landscape itself beckons one to freedom of the spirit.

And, let me tell you, I needed it!

If there was a theme to our trip it would have to be “Generosity of Spirit” because everyone we met and all the travelers themselves exhibited it to such a degree that Jan and I found ourselves having to readjust our perspectives on where humanity is right now... there's so much love everywhere!

We had snafus during this trip, but they were always swiftly overcome by the angels who stepped in with smiles to help us out. Likewise, our travelers were patient, understanding and helpful at every turn, coming together in problem-solving mode whenever necessary and staying cheerful throughout.

I've come away refreshed and invigorated, and suggest that even if you can't get on a plane, do something that's new, that brings you new faces and wide-open spaces.

We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”~ Paulo Coelho

Much love and Infinite blessings,

Hope
