April 2023 Monthly Forecast

April 2023 Monthly Forecast

The themes for April are: “Boundaries and Balance”.

This month will require focus, perseverance and discipline. The turbulence of March has certainly stirred things up and there is a need now to reground and get a better footing on life, relationships, health, self-care, projects and clarity on personal intentions.

Sifting through the debris of emotional carnage as well as all the opportunities available for change and transformation can be overwhelming. Thus, the need for good boundaries, discernment, discipline and focus.

The goal is balance, and with that theme, it will be painfully obvious what is out of balance in all areas of your life. If your relationships are out of balance because you have compromised yourself, there will be trouble in paradise. However, it is a powerful time to set things straight through good honest communication and mutual respect. If a relationship cannot adjust and improve in this way, it is not worth pursuing. It is the same with your personal health and self-care. You will become aware of what is out of balance and what can be improved and will have the discipline to follow through.

Good balance requires good boundaries and good boundaries require discipline and focus. You could say that April is a month to build awareness about how we use our energy and all the unnecessary ways we get overly involved in other people’s drama. We are intrigued by drama as it is entertaining and makes us feel somehow more alive. While drama is entertaining, observing from a place of neutrality and having good boundaries against becoming emotionally involved in the drama will support better balance in your life. So, we suggest putting drama in the category of watching an entertaining movie, knowing that it is just a movie, and not something to get emotionally involved in as if it was real life.

This month we have the opportunity to change habits, up our game, re-prioritize what is important, take care of ourselves better, clear confusion and conflict in relationships, and end up with more clarity and determination about what we want, where we desire to be, and with whom. The key is having good boundaries that will lead to better balance. This is internal and personal work and requires acceptance of truth as well as the courage to say no to what is not healthy and yes to what is. Relationships will be the most affected as they are where many dysfunctional patterns around boundaries play out.

Most of us are long in the caretaking of others and short in the self-care area. Your body will definitely let you know this month what is out of balance and missing in your discipline. A good daily practice that includes self-care for body mind and spirit is crucial this month as it will ground you and bring much needed balance into your day. A good practice will be to think of yourself first upon waking instead of all the things that will be requiring your attention “out there”.

Some of you will be extremely uncomfortable and possibly even feel guilty as you set boundaries that could trigger negative reactions in others. Remember not to take these reactions and projections personally. Use the support of transformative energy this month to stay your ground and set new habits with a commitment to see them become permanent.

How the month shows up:

YOU PERSONALLY

The focus this month is self-care. If you don’t have self-care, you don’t have good balance. The boundary issue comes up around protecting personal time for self-care, not indulgent, but what is necessary for your health and well-being. If you are not taking care of yourself, it will become very apparent as your body will give you clear signals about what is out of balance. This is a good month to anchor and commit to new habits, routines and practices. Put yourself first, put some boundaries around your personal time and don’t take what others think personally, especially when you are engaging in what you know is right for you.

This is also a good month to develop more trust in your emotional intuition and to gain more appreciation for your uniqueness as self-worth. We are in a time of developing a new measure of success, not dependent on competing with others, but simply doing your personal best. Diversity is the new measuring stick. How can you show up authentically? Developing good boundaries will also help with sustaining personal power especially in relationships that are in need of change.

The awareness of who you are as a unique individual also demands that you see others in the same light. So stay out of judgment and allow others to be who they are, doing whatever they are doing even if you do not agree with it.

RELATIONSHIPS

This can be a tough month for relationships. There may be conflicts, misunderstandings, and a need to re-balance cooperation and collaboration. In intimate relationships the issue of boundaries can anger, irritate, confuse and even bring up fear of rejection or deep resentment. It is a good opportunity to work things out with compassion, patience, acceptance and understanding, and reset those relationships that are worthwhile.

The difficulty will be in deciding how much space and time to give a relationship for boundary adjustments before calling it quits. It is not a month to make rash decisions about anything especially during the first weeks even if you feel motivated for something significant to change. Later in the month the clarity that comes with inner reflection may shed more light on the right course of action. Relationships that survive this adjustment will be stronger for it and can look forward to being re-inspired by new ways of communicating, honoring, accepting and collaborating.

HEALTH AND THE PHYSICAL BODY

Self-care, self-care, self-care. This could be a challenging month for anyone who has neglected self-care as the body will be very vocal in showing you exactly where you are out of balance. The first part of the month is a good time to make conscious decisions about what to change in order to increase your self-care protocols. This will require some discipline regarding your boundaries especially around time for yourself.

The good news is that the body will respond very quickly and efficiently to any change you commit to in support of better health. Your well-being also includes protecting yourself from toxic energies and negative circumstances that can affect you especially if you don’t have good boundaries. Watch the desire to participate in drama and stay neutral and observant to what goes on around you instead of being triggered and reactive. We also recommend that you spend as much time in nature as possible and have a good routine for cleaning and clearing yourself of unwanted energies.

BUSINESS, PARTNERSHIPS AND PROJECTS

There is a lot to consider this month around any business activities. Conservation is the theme for the month as everything needs to be considered when making changes, developing new strategies, resetting relationships, looking at budgets, reconfiguring priorities, and launching anything new. Don’t be too hasty in committing yourself to anything that you cannot refine or change. The energy is still somewhat flexible, fluid and unexpected in its outcome.

We would advise that the best way to use this month around business and projects is to focus on your partnerships, relationships, team building and support. All else will follow. If there is anything to clear up or clean up in past dealings or communication, this would be a good month to complete and release. Ideas can be explored, possibilities and opportunities entertained, collective interests inspired, all without jumping into anything too soon. The energy is a bit of hurry up and wait, especially around the time when Mercury goes retrograde on the 21st. Patience, take baby steps, and enjoy the process.

ENVIRONMENT

In the aftermath of a turbulent March, priorities may be reset in terms of how to move forward in anticipating or handling global change in weather and climate patterns. Look for renewed interest in collaboration around renewable energy, toxic waste clean-up and innovative ideas for supporting a healthier planet. Going green becomes the right thing to do and conservation becomes more popular as a mainstream idea.

On a personal level, the conservation of resources makes us feel like we are participating in the preservation of our planet and we see the younger generation embracing what we may have resisted because it goes against our imprint for comfort. The boundary issue is about protecting and taking responsibility for your space, and the balance is about decluttering your personal environment. Pay attention to anything that causes you stress in your environment and take action to repair and make it right.

DATES AND TIME FRAMES

April 1-7: This is a fiery time frame when you could feel antsy, restless, and somewhat impatient, especially with others. Imbalances in your life may surface causing inconvenience and irritation. You may become critically aware of your boundaries or lack thereof around certain people, situations or relationships. Instead of falling into a negative hole, take a proactive position of discipline and persistence around a positive action plan to improve, change and reset your balance.

Completion is another theme for this time. If you have unfinished business of any kind, this would be the time to focus on completing what can be finished and released. The more you procrastinate, the bigger the energy leak. There is nothing that will take you out of present time and keep you out of balance than something on our plate of responsibilities that you keep putting off. So, do it now. If you get cranky about your life, get proactive about changing what needs changing instead of complaining and playing the victim game.

April 5: Full Moon is Wednesday, April 5 at 10:34 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). Known as the Pink Moon, this moon brings a bit of air to fuel an already fiery time. You will feel inspired to act on a project, relationship or new endeavor. Be careful not to be too impulsive as it may backfire on your stability. Think things through carefully before you leap and make sure that what you are reaching for is truly aligned with your emotional intelligence and not just your intellectual reasoning. This is a big moon for relationships as well. Don’t be surprised if something gets triggered unexpectedly that opens the door for deeper soul searching and resetting of priorities.

We have an opportunity to be reminded of what we love about our life and to reconnect with our hearts and appreciate the beauty all around us. This aspect joins with the need for action and moving forward so think of this as a practice in bringing the right balance into your life between right action and simply being in appreciation of what is around you.

If you find yourself challenged by what is going on around you, remember to practice patience, compassion and understanding. Don’t take anything personally and allow others to be just where they are without judgment. If you need to work on your personal boundaries, this is a good time to start that process.

April 8-15: The full moon has set us up for deep reflection on our priorities and where we need to be more boundaried both against external energies but also keeping our own energy to ourselves. Boundaries go both ways. If your boundaries are too loose it means you take on energy from others that you cannot process. At the same time your own energy may be bleeding out. What are good boundaries? Knowing who you are and what you want and what you don’t want is key.

If it does not feel good, it is not you. If you feel compromised or compelled to agree to or to do something that does not feel right and you have trouble saying no, you need to examine why. Some people are very good about inserting guilt into the equation. If you are in a situation where there has been an established pattern where you always give over to someone else’s agenda, you are giving your power away. Start by saying no to the small things first, then work your way up to the bigger issues. This takes discipline, courage and persistence.

April 16-22: We are in process. The days can be up and down in energy. One day you may come from great clarity and feel like you can take on the world and the next day feel overwhelmed by change and confusion. Resilience and flexibility combined with discipline is what is needed during this time frame. Think of this as a preparatory time before we hit the new moon and eclipse that will certainly trigger events, change and growth. Practice presence, feed yourself with beauty, appreciate your loved ones, and find inspiration in your own creativity and internal growth.

April 19: New Moon in Aries at 10:12 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) with a solar eclipse. This is a very powerful portal for transformation, change and moving into the next level of productivity and manifestation.

April 23-30: We are in a slower time of reflection now, a necessary support for assimilating the recent insights, changes and new practices and commitments. If you have been mulling over whether or not to go ahead with a project or new adventure, this is the time when you can get some clarity. If stepping into something new at this time is aligned with spirit and you receive a green light, go for it. You will experience very quickly if it is right or not. This is also a time where gratitude and appreciation go a long way.

Relationships go through their healing process and you have the opportunity to reset your life in a powerful way. If you are in the process of releasing something from the past, this time will support that completion. Hopefully you have some good boundaries now and a greater sense of balance and well-being.

Have a great month!

Blessings
