RUNE OF THE MONTH:

Ehwaz “the horse”. A life-changing month encouraging us to free ourselves from binding attachments, develop our psychic abilities, and ride new possibilities with courage and enthusiasm. Asserting our power through positive actions brings a significant sense of re-birth.

Mercury turns retrograde on Monday April 1st at 3:14 PM until Thursday April 25th at 5:54 AM, between 27º10’ (“A large disappointed audience” and 16º05’ Aries (“Two prim spinsters sitting together in silence”). Its shadow period will last until May 13. We are asked to re-evaluate our sense of self, the manner in which we assert ourselves, and our reliance on our own energy rather than counting on the collective to support us. Rash actions are to be expected. We could jump to conclusions without having sufficient facts and feel so invincible that we impulsively take uncalculated risks. Our courage is tested. Our ability to enter uncharted territory and lead others comes to the forefront. A good time to reconnect with past, unfinished initiatives that we now have all the necessary skills, drive, and enthusiasm to complete.

Following the March 25 Lunar Eclipse in Libra, on Monday April 8 at 11:21 AM PDT, we shall witness a Solar Eclipse in Aries (19º24’). Eclipses always mark turning points in our lives, the effects of which last up to 19 years. This eclipse is symbolized by “A young girl feeding birds in winter”. This is a particularly dynamic cosmic event that gives us an emotional need for action and independence. We shall witness significant new beginnings both globally and personally. The more we shall follow our heart, be true to our inner feelings, and listen to our intuition, the clearer our destiny will be. We may lack objectivity, perspective, and be somewhat self-absorbed, yet our pioneering spirit will push us forward in ways that will  open exciting new pathways for all, helping us achieve even the most daring of goals.

This month’s intentional meditation started on Monday 3/25 (Lunar Eclipse in Libra) when we took out as many blank sheets of paper as we had intentions and place them near a window, on a balcony or in a garden so that they basked in the light of the Full Moon in Libra at exactly 12:00 AM. Once that moment passed, we gathered our Full Moon charged blank sheets and placed them in a folder.

On Monday 4/8, take out your blank full moon charged papers and write on each a concise, positive intention. Place them on a balcony, in a garden or near a window so that they are out by exactly 11:21 AM for the New Moon in Aries (Solar Eclipse). Once that moment has passed, staple them together and put them away in a folder expecting the manifestation of all your dreams….

Next month’s intentional meditation starts on Tuesday 4/23 with the Full Moon in Scorpio at exactly 4:49 PM.

Wednesday 4/3: Venus Conjunct Neptune (6:10 AM)

Both a sense of enchantment and confusion marks this day. A romantic situation could seem so perfect that it is almost surreal, yet at the same time could prove elusive and deceiving. We could feel emotionally vulnerable, nostalgic, lazy, and, if not careful enough, prone to a financial fraud. This day is perfect for dreaming, artistic creativity, and focusing on the beauty of all things.

Thursday 4/4: Venus enters Aries (9:00 PM) till April 29

During the next 3 weeks our heart is on our sleeve. We may fall head over heels in love, be impulsive in the way we express our affection, and passionately rush into a romance without much forethought. Wise advice tends to fall on deaf ears.  Enthusiastic and positive, we feel adventurous. Creative projects requiring initiative, courage, and bold, dynamic action are favored. We are prone to foolhardy spending.

Practical efforts, disciplined action, self-control, and focused endeavors are required. We do not hesitate to put in even a massive amount of work to achieve our goals. Our decisions are calculated, our efforts pragmatic, and our competitiveness quite high.

Thursday 4/11: Sun Conjunct Mercury (4:03 PM)

A good day for communication, small trips, making phone calls, returning e-mails, and connecting with friends. A certain busyness marks this day, which is perfect for running errands, learning something new, and exchanging practical information with others.

Friday 4/19: Mercury Conjunct Venus (4:59 AM), the Sun enters Taurus (7:00 AM) till May 20th, Mars Sextile Jupiter (11:28 AM), Mars Sextile Uranus (4:56 PM)

The coming month favors peace, nature, sensuality, and practicality. Establishing a solid financial basis, investing in the comfort of our home, developing harmonious relationships with others, and taking good care of our body feels important. We should also take time to smell the proverbial roses. Today, more specifically, is good for gathering with friends, redecorating our home, and offering ourselves a beauty treatment. Saturday 4/20: Jupiter Conjunct Uranus (7:27 PM)

One of the most significant aspects of this year. An unexpected opportunity, gift, favor, or trip could prove most beneficial and freeing. Our enhanced self-confidence, greater sense of independence, and need to expand our knowledge, could entice us to study a foreign philosophy thanks to which we embrace exciting, new aspects of the world. New beginnings are encouraged. Any endeavor begun today has beneficial, long-term effects.

Sunday 4/21: Sun Square Pluto (10:02 AM)

We could be compromised by manipulative people using force to disempower us. A frustrating day that could coerce us into an uncomfortable corner. Best to avoid ultimatums and, for the good of all, cooperate with others.

Thursday 4/25: Mercury turns direct (5:54 AM) 

Communications may still be a little wobbly today, but they return to normal tomorrow.

Sunday 4/28: Mars Conjunct Neptune (9:31 PM)

A certain anxiety, restlessness, and confusion mark this day. The situations we are confronted to are complex, unclear, and even deceiving. Our imagination is intensified. Today, alcohol and drugs have an amplified effect. Best to stay away from any addictive substance. We should also avoid falling prey to conspiracy theories or get-quick-rich schemes.

Friday 4/29: Venus enters Taurus (4:31 AM) till May 23

During the next 3 weeks, we feel more sensual. This cycle is most conducive to gardening, enjoying some leisurely self-care, some pampering, indulging in beauty treatments, and starting a peaceful romance. Artistic activities such as sculpting, working with clay, or craft-making are favored.

Tuesday 4/30: Mars enters Aries (8:33 AM) till June 8, Venus Square Pluto (9:30 PM)

During the next 5 weeks Aries natives are favored. Mars in its own sign brings out our courage, dynamic energy, leadership abilities, and strong desire for success. We are likely to be more impulsive than usual and tend to leap into action without much prior thought. Today, more specifically, our social interactions are difficult.
