The cosmos are in a time of major transitions and June is heralding much of the changes. You will find that as soon as you get a handle on one situation, something else changes and your attention is demanded to other areas.

Venus in Taurus: Celebrating Beauty and Abundance

What is lovely this month is Venus will enter into Taurus on the 6th and reminds us to appreciate beauty and abundance. Imagine raw resources and how they can be transformed. Think of paints and a canvas created into a masterpiece to hang on your wall, or small seeds that yield fruit, or raw cotton transformed into beautiful clothing. While Venus is in Taurus the urge to indulge in something yummy or luxurious is natural. Taking time to acknowledge nature and its intrinsic beauty is another way to honor Venus.

Jupiter in Cancer: A Year of Returning Home

Jupiter moves into the sign of Cancer on the 9th for the next 12 months. Jupiter loves being in the sign of Cancer as it is considered in its exaltation, similar to being an honored guest in a mansion where your needs and desires are met.

There will be several trends over the next year with Jupiter in Cancer. One is the longing to “return to home”, whatever that means. For some it will be actually going back to where one used to live. This could be due to a financial crunch due to a variety of reasons, including repayment of student loans, sudden loss of job, or the need to regroup. For others the longing for home resonates on a spiritual level, a knowingness of a place beyond this world, and others symbolically returning to your core self and the feeling of deep peace.

June 9th is a powerhouse day; pay attention to what is happening around you and what you are feeling. It will bring you clues to how best to capture the blessings of Jupiter to help you in the months ahead.

Full Moon in Sagittarius: Seeking Freedom

The annual full moon in Sagittarius on the 11th reminds us to seek more freedom from restrictions and find the proverbial greener pastures. Hope, faith, and believing that there is a better, happier, way to live is what this energy is bestowing on us. The urge to leave troubles behind can be pacified with time off and taking a short, (or long) trip to fill your mind and memories with sights and sounds that are different than you have in your regular life routines. This is a good time to get away, or make plans for a trip and have something you are excited about to look forward to.

Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto: Breaking Free from Restrictions

Saturn, newly in Aries, is at the exact midpoint between Pluto and Uranus. The manifestation of this combo between Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto is a sudden explosion of suppressed frustration and repression. On a global level protests against oppressive governments are common. On an individual level it is anger or frustration towards being held back by circumstances that limit your freedom and individuality.

Mars in Virgo: Productivity and Craftsmanship

Mars moving into Virgo is very helpful in getting tasks done, especially hands on work that you can see a before and after picture. Make use of the help from Mars to start and finish projects. Virgo is a sign of service and work, in many respects it is about taking the time to do a job, no matter how trivial, to the best of your ability. Craftsmanship comes from this signature, sure it may only be a refurbished dresser, but it is done with such care that it reemerges in its glory. With Jupiter in comfort loving Cancer it’s a great time for projects around your home. You may also find yourself helping friends that are like family and are in need of an extra hand or simply a bit of support.

With Mars in Virgo any self-improvement or new skills that will enable you to be your best at your job are also a good undertaking at this time.

Summer Solstice: Spiritual Insights

The summer solstice, (winter down under) is upon us at 10:42pm EDT on the 20th. Jupiter is vibrating (square) both Saturn and Neptune marking the initial inklings of what the Saturn Neptune conjunction will be in your life. Pay attention to what is being shown to you. Look and listen for messages this day and the week after. The Saturn Neptune conjunction, in a nutshell, seeks spiritual wisdom. How each one of us arrives at that is different. For some it is making your vision concrete and setting it off to the world, for others it is feeling let down and discouraged that the dreams you had have not manifested or take sooo much effort to make happen.

New Moon in Cancer: Emotional Renewal

The new moon in Cancer on the 25th reveals more of the meanings of the huge changes with Saturn, Neptune, and Jupiter. Traditionally the yearly Cancer new moon is about releasing negative feelings and cleansing your emotional body to feel reborn. It still is; find a meditation that resonates with you to clear your chakras and sticky knots in your body that are holding fear, anger, resentment, jealousy, grief, sadness, hopelessness, apathy, and any other emotion that is not supportive of your greatest good.

There is a yod, or finger of fate in this new moon which can take our lives in directions we did not anticipate. The prominent planets of this configuration are Jupiter with the sun and moon, sextile Mars in Virgo, and Quincunx Pluto in Aquarius. How to capture this wave of good energy is by being willing to do the best you can at any tasks at hand while knowing something great can come out of it even if it is trivial, while being open and flexible to situations changing, especially if the changes are from circumstances or situations you have no control over.

The month ends with Mercury, our thoughts and ideas, in fun loving Leo connecting with dreamy Neptune and discovery seeking Pluto.
