For the New Moon (June 28th) at 4º Cancer, for your sign or natal house placement:
Aries
(4th House) The New Moon in Cancer (on Wednesday, June 25th) is just infusing you with an extra surge of energy. Motivating and optimistic it can almost appear as if you are in a position to see your hopes and wishes being realized in the not so distant future. Aries is no slacker. With all this vital energy coming from the New Moon this week, and armed with the courage of your convictions, use the surge that the New Moon brings to create a practical plan for the future. This Moon also has some elements of uncertainty, therefore, also ask yourself: What precautions can I take for the future, in order to make sure that myself and my family will be safe and secure? It may be that when you explore all of your options that you may stay with what you are most familiar with, but you still might want to explore your options. The New Moon in Cancer puts your focus more closely on home and family: where you live, who you are living with, the people in your care and who you care about. It is also when you are being asked to take care of your inner, emotional concerns, so that you can feel safe and secure in the world. Take care of all the practicalities, but also take some time to create your own personal sanctuary. Somewhere that you can go to heal, mend and find inner peace. New Moons are about new beginnings and for Aries that can include New beginnings concerning home and family; Nesting; Making your home environment more personable or comfortable; improving relationships with family and/or parents; and finding ways to celebrate the significant events in your life that have led you to where you are now.
Taurus
(3rd House) Use the New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday to turn your focus within, in order to find inner refuge and sanctuary. You will be grateful for the opportunity to do so. For by purging your mind of extraneous demands, you will see more, notice more, and feel more. Your ruling planet, Venus, wants very much to explore new horizons, and bolster up your personal security, but you may also be finding yourself resistant because of previous obligations that keep you tethered where you are. Know also that this Moon gives you permission to just say No if you have to, and free yourself up in order to take advantage of the opportunities this New Moon cycle can bring. The sign of Cancer, along with Taurus, crave stability and familiarity. Something that feels solid and dependable. At the very least make yourself aware of your options, and then make your decisions about where and what more you might need to know to get you better situated in the future. New Moons are about new beginnings, and with the New Moon in Cancer, that can include doing things like beginning a new class, or wanting to learn more about a particular subject; perhaps learning more effective ways to communicate with others. It can also point to becoming more involved in your community or neighborhood, and wanting to get in touch with siblings or old mates. This is a great time to start a journal, or make a commitment to cultivate the sort of environment that will allow your mind and your imagination to grow and thrive. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I create a sanctuary of peace, safety and security within my own mind and perspective.
Gemini
(2nd House) As your ruling planet, Mercury, makes its way through the final degrees of Cancer this week, it will make an illuminating and insightful sextile to Uranus. This is when we receive flashes of genius, when we suddenly see solutions where previously we only saw problems. And as Uranus gradually makes its ways closer and closer to your sign, you may be feeling this sudden urgency to live your life more freely, and authentically. We’ll speak more to this over the next few weeks, but in the mean time you might want to take advantage of the New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday, in order to explore your options, especially in an atmosphere of prevailing uncertainties in the world at large. This may or may not affect you. But taking an inventory of your options (just in case!) may help to ease any fears or trepidation about what the future may bring. Because the New Moon in Cancer (for Gemini) can often concern financial security as well, you might want to ask yourself: What steps can I take to be more financially secure? What are the things I need, and what are the things I can do without? It is also a time in which you are being asked to have more confidence in your skills and ability to manage your finances in the future. A good intention for this Moon might be I am worthy of all the bounty that nature has to offer. Or perhaps: Knowing what my true priorities are is the key to understanding who I am, and what I most want to invest my valuable time, money and resources on.
Cancer
(1st House) The New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday, June 25th, is your annual New Moon, which puts the focus right on you. This is a time to focus on your feelings, your interests, your health and well-being, and your personal self-identity. This is your Moon for the full year ahead, in which you are being asked to plant the sorts of seeds that you want to see flourish over the months ahead. And it is also a time in which you are asked to explore whether or not your needs are being met, and what might you want to change in order to see those needs fulfilled. Ask yourself: What might make you feel more secure? What might bring a sense of belonging? Those Cancers who are born between June 22nd and the 28th, or who have 0-7º of Cancer Rising will be especially tuned into this New Moon, but all Cancers are going to resonate with the New Moon on Wednesday. Begin by reacquainting yourself, with yourself, as well as all things Cancer, including your own feelings, and your intuitive awareness. This self-awareness will serve you well going forward and allow you to make better decisions going forward. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I find myself gravitating towards those people, things and experiences that will bring me emotional support and a deeper sense of belonging and acceptance.
Leo
(12th House) It would not be unusual for you to find yourself wanting to retreat from the world at this time of the year. Perhaps you find yourself inclined to take yourself out of the limelight, go on a mini vacation, taking some time out. The New Moon in Cancer is your opportunity each year to more fully connect with yourself, so that you can restore your vital energy and reevaluate all that has brought you to this place and time. It is also an opportunity to tie up some loose ends, and bring certain elements from the past to some sort of final conclusion. Doing so can bring a tremendous feeling of freedom and release. For you, Cancer is a sign that is associated with cultivating inner peace and security. As a result, no matter what may happen in the outer world you will remain firm and resilient. Therefore, the New Moon on Wednesday is a good Moon to explore your past; Reminisce; Assimilate or process the events of the previous year. Spend more time in reflection. Go on a retreat or enter a sacred space. Go to places that bring inspiration. Pay attention to your dreams, or keep a dream diary for now. Or dare to explore the boundaries of your imagination, and nurture your capacity to wonder. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I be led to cultivate deeper peace and security within my heart and mind. Or: I want to make more time to be inspired and nurture my imagination.
Virgo
(11th House) As your ruling planet, Mercury, makes its way through the final degrees of Cancer this coming week, you could find yourself filled with sudden realizations, and moments of clarity, showing you solutions where previously you saw only problems and dead ends. When Uranus enters Gemini on July 7th it could almost feel like a sudden and unexpected brush with illuminating ideas. These are interesting times and there is no telling what may be just around the next corner as a result. On Wednesday, we have the New Moon in Cancer, a Moon that aims to get you in touch with your hopes and wishes for the future. Therefore dare to toss your intentions and dreams into space with the New Moon. Do so knowing that when the time is right, you will attract and recognize the conditions that will allow you to make those dreams a closer reality. With a close conjunction to expansive and wish-fulfilling Jupiter, the New Moon this week is asking you to think in terms of vaster possibilities and ever greater potential. For Virgo, the New Moon in Cancer is about: Networking with others who are in common cause towards the fulfillment of your ideals; working with or joining a group that shares the same goals as you do; initiating friendships or alliances, or deepening the commitments to the ones you have. But even more important is connecting with the hopes and wishes that you would like to see realized this coming year. A good intention for this Moon might be: If this wish is meant to be for me, may I see the conditions arise that will allow it to be so..
Libra
(10th House) In Cancer season, Libra will find themselves looking to the future. This can include setting specific goals, and that is true even in a climate filled with all sorts of what if’s and uncertainties. Even if you don’t make any specific commitments at this time, you might want to make yourself informed about what your prospects might be. Therefore this is still a good time to: make plans, figure out a business strategy, or promote what you do in some personable way. What is it that you want to achieve in either your career or personal life? How do you wish to be seen in the world? How can you do what you do even better, or perhaps more efficiently? Rather than taking on even more, or doing more, think in terms of making what you do better. Use the New Moon on Wednesday to be the person that you aspire to be. It may require you to rethink some things. Perhaps cut back here, reorganize there, but ultimately there are several things you might want to focus on with the New Moon on June 25th, such as: Creating greater security for the future; making your goals more achievable; Using your imagination to visualize what you would like your future to look like; or to find new and creative ways to do what you do even better. And then finally, use the New Moon in Cancer to orchestrate a Plan that will get you there. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I find the best ways and means to use my gifts and talents in service to others. And: I see myself as a guide to others, that they may also achieve their dreams.
Scorpio
(9th House) Each year, the New Moon in Cancer can be something of a call to adventure for Scorpio. And this year’s New Moon in Cancer feels extraordinarily so. If you are not quite ready or able to fly off to the far reaches of the world, or to explore regions as yet unknown to you, or just take a trip to Paris, use the New Moon in Cancer to broaden your horizons in other ways: Learn another language; Learn about another culture; learn about their recipes and customs and mores. Perhaps enroll in a school program or course. Expand your knowledge. Find a spiritual mentor. Commit to a new spiritual path, or make some sort of spiritual connection with another being. Learning, teaching, guiding, or spread broadcasting a message, are all ways to learn about or impact the world at large. This is an expansive New Moon, therefore dare to expand your knowledge, increase your understanding, and explore the world of possibility. As a result there is no telling where this Moon can bring you. It can open up your perceptions, and show you things that you perhaps had not even thought possible. A good intention for the New Moon on Wednesday might be: May I be willing to go where I need to be in order to fulfill my destiny.
Sagittarius
(8th House) New Moons are times of new beginnings in which we sow the sorts of seeds that we would like to see ripen in the future. And the New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday is a particularly fertile Moon following soon after the Solstice. For Sagittarius, the New Moon in Cancer is a time to deepen commitments to others, or take them a step further. This particular Moon can also free you up from obligations or responsibilities that are just weighing you down, and seem way too much bother than they are worth. So this Moon also give you permission to just say No, and to release you from those burdensome responsibilities that you carry like an albatross around your neck. That can include doing even the most mundane activities, like paying down a debt, balancing the books, and calling in debts that are owed you. It can also be an opportunity to rebuild, rehabilitate, prepare for the future, and to mend what had previously become broken. Like a second start, if you were to ask yourself how you would want to live this precious life of yours going forward, what would your answer be? What are the things and who are the people that you most want to invest in? A good intention for this New Moon might be: May I get the best value and return on my property, on my investments, my services and commitments going forward.
Capricorn
(7th House) For Capricorn, Cancer season is the time of year in which to explore your relationships, and examine your commitments to others. And perhaps this is even more important now, as we are all making our way through a world that is fraught with uncertainty. Therefore sort out your mutual expectations of others. Explore the why’s and wherefores’ as to why you do relationships the way that you do. Are there ways that you might want to improve the ones you have? Or better ways of doing relationships going forward? Use the New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday to sort out your commitments to others, seek out advice and guidance from people you trust, from wise counselors, and people who know. Become a mentor for others. And look for confirmation, connection and guidance from those that matter. New relationships made over the weeks ahead are bound to be mutually beneficial. The New Moon in Cancer is a good time for: renewing your vows; starting a new partnership or renewing one you are already in; making yourself more available to others; and trusting yourself to open yourself up and share your feelings with others. A good intention for this Moon might be I want to attract the best possible person or people who will support, complement and honor me and what I wish to accomplish. Or perhaps: I want to attract the support system or people who are best for me and my current situation.
Aquarius
(6th House) Each year, the New Moon in Cancer is an opportunity to reorganize your life, and further explore those things that help to support your health and well-being. Look for ways that you can use your time more efficiently. Change up your daily routines in such a way that you can free yourself up for things that you would much rather be doing, and that will help to support any new health goals that you set for yourself. For Aquarius, the New Moon in Cancer is a Moon of self-improvement. That can focus on your health and well-being. But it can also be concerned with improving a skill, learning something useful, or figuring out ways to improve your relationships in the work space. Cancer season is a good time to think about: further developing or perfecting whatever useful skills you have; using your skills to be of service to others; organizing your work space; focusing on those things that support your health and well-being; making a commitment to a healthier diet or lifestyle; and recognizing the importance of also supporting your emotional and psychological well-being. If you are looking for a new job or position,, this is often when Aquarius might consider expanding their options. Therefore some good intentions to make with the New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday might be: May I find the best healer and/or healing method that will fully restore my well-being. Or: May I find the best ways to use my skills to their best advantage.
Pisces
(5th House) The New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday, can be lucky, expansive and optimistic, as it asks of you to make those people, activities and experiences that bring you joy, much more of a priority. You are needing more love and attention in your life. Love your people who love you back. And do the things you love to do with them. Rediscover what it feels like to look at the world as a child might, with a sense of wonder and possibility. Both Pisces and Cancer are water signs, so look for healing through your element: swimming, surfing, wading, dreaming. Find some outlet through which you can fully express your heart-felt yearnings. Then make the intention with the New Moon to connect with your heart center. For this is what is going to support you in even the most difficult and trying, and uncertain times ahead. Use the New Moon to further develop a creative skill or hobby; spend more time with children; socialize with others who share the same interests; go to places for fun and recreation; and rediscover what it feels like to wonder. In addition to making the intention to connect with your heart center, another good intention for this Moon might be I honor the vast field of experience known as the imagination, where all things are possible.
