Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio on May 15th

Dearest Friends

Following the April 30th Solar Eclipse in Taurus, this Sunday, May 15 at 9:14 PM PDT, we shall witness a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio (25º17') . This powerful eclipse happens as Jupiter entered Aries on May 10th till October 28 and Mercury turned retrograde May 10-June 2 (4º51' Gemini to 26º09' Taurus).

This week marks a huge cosmic turning point. Jupiter in Aries makes us feel a gigantic burst of energy and inspiration. We could find the courage to embark on a bigger than life endeavor that at any other time would have frightened us. Our self-confidence is high. Our need for freedom makes us throw caution to the winds. Our faith in the possibility of regenerating our life and making it better fuels our enthusiasm. Our need to assert our truth makes us take daring initiatives. We are ready to transform old structures into new, more enduring ones that promote growth and excitement.

Mercury retrograde makes us remember projects we had abandoned, meet people we hadn't seen in a while, revisit places we hadn't been to in a long time. Between May 10 and 23rd, we could feel a little scattered, loose keys, erase e-mails we haven't read, forget where we parked our car, miss our plane.... but this is also a time when our mind is inquisitive. Our restlessness invites new discoveries. As we reshuffle ideas, old questions are reframed leading to surprising new answers. Our openness to different points of view could reveal aspects we had never considered before.

Between May 24 and June 2nd, old experiences, internal values, forgotten resources, solid concepts re-surface enabling us to create greater stability, comfort, and security in our lives.

Sunday's Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio anchors the need to take full responsibility for our lives. Nothing less than a war between light and darkness is being waged right in front of us. The dark cloud hanging over humanity, could make us feel overwhelmed, discouraged, anxious, even fearful for the future. However, accepting hardship as an inevitable reality and being gloomy about it, can only slow us down and hand victory to the forces of evil.

Now is the time to rise with strength and maturity, tap in our emotional resilience, and boost our self-confidence. Our circumstances entail heavy responsibilities. To achieve our goals we need hard, persistent work. It is important that we face our challenges with determination, courage, and power, and turn against all the injustices, abuses, toxicities, and addictions that separate us from our highest good.

To manifest a richer, better, and fuller life, this eclipse invites us to expand our vision. In the face of scandals, deceit, frauds, and secrets, our purity of purpose is our only true protection. The more aware we are, the more our ideals are of benefit not just to ourselves, but to others as well, the more we anchor our work in honorable motives, strong moral values, and hard work, the more our endeavors will flourish. Our optimism inspires trust which in turn helps us make our dreams come true. A strong sense of spiritual destiny underlies all our efforts. Yet, relying too much on our intuition with little consideration for common sense and the practicalities of our day-to-day reality could prove highly detrimental.

As we are resolutely moving into a new dimension of our lives, unresolved situations, negative conditions, outmoded attitudes resurface, forcing a complete regeneration. We simply cannot afford anymore to continue being defined by those ancient wounds, feelings of betrayal, past conditionings, and self-destructive habits. Any obstacle standing in the way of our freedom needs to be transmuted.

This eclipse marks one of the most important transitions in our lives. Let us harness the fullness of its power by facing what needs to be transformed in our lives with courage, integrity, and consciousness.
