- Sabian Symbols Showing the Light of
Quickening Expressed As Creative Genius -

This Full Moon is the twelfth one since the Grand Mutation waveform was activated at the end of March 2020, and the third since the Solstice conjunction launched a new long term era. We’re headed into the future!

Remember that we had several extraordinarily important long wave conjunctions in January 2020 which were set into motion in March. All the conjunction points made by Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in January and March were activated by Mars in March 2020, and its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius set long wave structures into play which are expanding and currently taking shape.

That “Great Compression” of planets in early 2020 created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting the houses where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. Add the three conjunctions of Jupiter with Pluto as it transited back and forth over the January and March degree points, and we’ve had a lot of long wave Pluto energies tremendously expanded which will show effects over the next decade! As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we now can take the energies of our “educative understanding” and communicate it to others in terms of “the birth of truth” we’ve been experiencing since the New Moon and now can re-focus through a Pisces-Virgo lens. This one helps us jettison all which hinders our quickening to attain a social goal and find forms which express our creative uniqueness.

Saturn continues to be incredibly powerful as it moves into Aquarius and now shows us we’re now launching a great vision! Make the abstract concrete, and allow the symbolic to take life in actual forms. It now is giving structure and substance to the themes of the second 5 degrees of Aquarius, further solidifying the new Aquarian patterns of the coming era.

The wave that began last April and was given wings in December will take clearer shape as Saturn moves across the first half of Aquarius this year. Last year we were “galvanized into action” to be “liberated from adverse conditions.” This year Jupiter will give us an expansive view of all of Aquarius between now and mid-May, with a review in August and September before we take a third look at the last part of Aquarius before Jupiter races through Pisces in 2022. Of note is that in this Lunation Venus is at 3 Pisces, the same degree Jupiter will occupy when it goes stationary retrograde in just a few weeks!

Maintain joy as well as internal and external communications as you begin an acceleration into the new era of your life, since fairly soon our new world will not look anything like our old one. We’ve begun to eliminate all which hinders us, as well as those things which used to block our happiness. This one puts a punctuation point of the 2017 Solar Eclipse at 9 Pisces.

The Sun in Water and the Moon in Earth shows a time of the Mutable Water (distributive feeling flow of experience) of Pisces expressing its unifying Light through the Mutable Earth (distributive practical service) of Virgo. As all the planets are still at maximum compression, we continue to be squeezed in many ways, with everything converging in the part of our chart between late Capricorn and late Taurus. We enter a time of learning techniques on the emotional, social, and cultural level to commit to a greater service and compassion in community with our Spiritual Brothers and Sisters.

In this chart, 5 planets are in the first third of their signs, 2 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 3 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates a heavy emphasis on the actional-material levels of life, a slightly diminished emphasis on the social/emotional levels, with a “normal” emphasis on the individual, mental, and spiritual levels.

Why Are Full Moons So Important?

At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.

That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.

Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. We’re now in a period of many months of no transit to transit oppositions other than those made by the Moon, until the next run begins when Mars opposes Pluto in June 2021. That means the evolutionary “Tension of Opposites” in this Lunation involves 2-10 Pisces and Virgo, which gives us a narrow focused field of awareness involving Moon, Sun, and Venus as they are the planets in opposition.

Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?

The Sun is in Pisces, making Jupiter in Aquarius its worldly ruler and Neptune in Pisces its spiritual ruler. The Moon in Virgo has Mercury in Aquarius as its ruler. That given Saturn rules both Mercury and Jupiter, it makes Saturn the “power behind the scenes” in this Lunation.

This Eclipse returns us to only 2 “final dispositors” ruling all the other planets. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto are all ruled by Saturn in Aquarius; Neptune, as usual, is a “standalone” planet, ruling itself. That means the rulerships continue to be dominated by Saturn this month. A final dispositor is a planet in one of its “home signs,” or the signs it rules.

By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon

This Full Moon falls at 9 Pisces and 9 Virgo. It is said that the first third (decan) of any sign deals with the actional, material, and physical levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the first decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Pisces and Virgo.

Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.

The Solar Sabian symbol for the 9th degree of Pisces is "A jockey.” In the original notes from the Marc Jones class on the symbols published in The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this degree is one of “the capacity of man to throw himself fully into any type of activity,” “self-quickening,” and “premature expenditure of energy.”

In The Astrological Mandala, he offers that this degree is about “intense mobilization of energy and skill in the drive for success in any social performance affected by the competitive spirit.” Here we steer and spur the release of energy by practice and technical skill, in order to speedily attain whatever goals we may have.

He states “every superfluous ‘weight,’ every unnecessary consideration is to be dismissed in the one-pointed attempt to reach one’s social goal. Self-quickening may be the keyword.” He says this degree falls in the Span of Innocence, Act of Capitalization, and Scene of Federation on the Emotional-Cultural level.

Dr. Jones offers that this is a degree of “the eagerness for life an individual must show in any true revelation of himself, and of the concern he must have for the struggles and competitions of everyday experience.” He goes on to say “only through thoroughly consistent performance of (our) skills and talents” that we establish ourselves in our world, and as we become excellent at what we do then we must demonstrate that to our world.

He states that there are penalties for not pushing our capacities to the limit, and offers us the keyword PRACTICE. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree “is a spectacular gift for rising to any occasion.”

So the Light of the next two weeks involves forms of techniques of self-quickening, and our ability to spur ourselves toward our goals without letting obsolete things get in our way. Here we get to throw ourselves into some kind of activity in order to demonstrate and sharpen our skills and talents, and this practice will lead us to “a spectacular gift for rising to any occasion.”

This is the light of seeing the unnecessary considerations which we need to drop so we may become our “Spiritual Office” within a vast field of compassionate understanding. Be willing to flow, let go, forgive, and bless that which is obsolete to be released down the time stream.

The Lunar degree symbol for the 9th degree of Virgo is “A man making a futurist drawing.” According to Rudhyar’s notes from the Marc Jones class, this degree is one of “original genius of every individual soul unconcerned with collective values” and “absolute, tradition-less self-expression.”

In The Astrological Mandala, he says this degree offers us techniques of new forms of self-expression, and a self-reliance where we may discover our true individuality. He states the keynote is “the urge to express (our) individualized sense of value regardless of tradition,” where “the individual is seen reacting against cultural standards and stereotyped ways of interpreting perceptions.” He offers that this degree is about “the mind seeking to discover the character of the basic and true foundation of individual selfhood, the AUM tone (or logos) of individual being.”

He continues that this is “a technique of transformation of the personality,” where “a sense of inner conflict and an overselfconscious attempt at ‘being oneself’ predominates” in our search for originality. It is said to fall in the Span of Idealization, and is the technical degree of the social-cultural level in the Scene of Federation in the Act of Stabilization.

Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, states this degree is “the originality an individual must show in any true assertion of (self), and of the importance of the aesthetic or more spiritual areas of (our) experience.” He continues “it is only through an identifiable and personal uniqueness” that we establish ourselves among others, knowing that if we become too extreme we “may repel rather than attract.”

He says this is “a challenge to a distinctiveness which will release the creative capacities of others as well as self,” and he offers us the keyword of EXPERIMENT. He states when operating in a positive manner, “the degree is a gift for the illimitable expansion of the human mind and a consequent extension of its powers.”

From these symbols it seems the next two weeks we’ll see the Light of quickening as we throw ourselves into some “consecrated” task expressed through forms of our personal uniqueness. This is the Light of compassion expressed through forms of service. The Sun is the Light of exhibiting our skills and talents according to our expertise, and the Moon allows us to craft the forms of those skills and talents in ways which are unique to us.

TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption

I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back which I’ll be updating very soon. At the last World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius in 2020 I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)

In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.
