God on Earth? Theory Explores Divine Humanity

This post came out of a conversation about the Masters of the Wisdom and Avatars, and why it seems as if they all lived “back then” and there don’t seem to be as many recognized highly spiritual Beings as in previous times.

I believe they do walk among us, and appear far more ordinary than the puffed up glamorized image we have of “Masters.” Which reminds me of a song....

I used to be on the lookout for any and all versions of “Spiritual Beings,” and for many years hoped and prayed I’d meet a true living “Master” in the flesh. But everywhere I looked I found human beings who were at different levels of awareness, some very high, but still human. I also found that it didn’t matter how much spiritual knowledge someone had or how long they had been doing their spiritual practice, at the end of the day they were “just folks.

I’ve met a lot of advanced spiritual aspirants as well as gurus whose names I can’t remember and one or two that I can. Every single advanced Being I’ve met (except Ammachi) seemed to have similar problems as the rest of us have had at one point or another, and at times were as perplexed as others while dealing with their own or another’s ego delusions. I found that more than a few so-called “spiritual beings” can say things that are not true, evade hard truths staring them in the face, and have uncontrolled desires.

Of course, ignorance or being human is not an impediment to spiritual realization. Some of the highest I’ve ever known were as human as you or me, just a lot kinder and more aware than many supposedly spiritual Beings who thought themselves a cut above the rest of us. Of course, that also describes my last cat, so I’ll leave the judgment in your hands whether they’re more evolved than we are. I’ve found some animals are far more aware, kind, and compassionate than many of our human brothers and sisters.

I’ll close with offering that I learned a long time ago to look into the eyes of each I meet as though they could be the Christ. I believe if we can greet each with an open heart and an open mind, we just might find that God is one of us.
