2018 Sagittarius Full Moon

Here in the North Country the official start of summer was still weeks away but this day felt like it had already begun. It had been very hot and even though Grandfather Sun had already set the night air was still humid and warm. But Snowy Owl and Shooting Star welcomed the warmth as most nights up till now had been cold. As they climbed the path to the Star Temple silver blue shadows covered the ground as Sister Moon had already risen in the east. Gratitude for this beautiful Full Moon night filled their hearts.

When the sisters had settled in the Star Temple the moonlight bathed their faces. They felt Sister Moon’s radiance surrounding them. Finally Luna spoke. “The focus of this Full Moon is gratitude for All That Is. From the Winged Ones to the Four Leggeds and the Finned Ones to the Standing Ones and the Plant People thankfulness should be given. They never question what they are here to do, they just do. And in their doing beauty is created”. Sister Moon paused to let her message resonate and then continued.

“In the far away the two leggeds have lost their way. There is much confusion about what is true and what is not true. For some anger is the strongest emotion and creates destruction. This Full Moon is to remind all humans that life is precious. When they have finished their Earth Life and return to spirit they will be asked “did you have a good time?” Many will have to say no because they were too busy trying to be right. Trying to make others believe what they think is the right way. All Great Mystery asks is gratitude and appreciation for All That Is. Then the fear and separation fear causes will be transformed into unity and love.”

Snowy Owl and Shooting Star remained in the Star Temple until Grandfather Sun rose to begin a new day. As they left to return home they each saw things with new eyes. They thanked All That Is for the precious beauty that surrounded them. Gratitude for life would stay in their hearts forever. 

This Sagittarius Full Moon asks “what makes you happy”? Remember we are in the Taurus Moon cycle (May 15 New Moon) of focusing on what is of true value and importance in our lives. Happiness needs to be one of those values. Being spiritually connected gives me that feeling of happiness and gratitude our story talked about. The word Gratitude adds up to 6. That is the Tarot Constellation of The Lovers: relationship and choice. The choice to unite in Love or the choice to separate in fear. The Sun at 08 degrees Gemini activates that theme. The Moon at 08 degrees Sagittarius is active on the Tarot Constellation of The Hierophant: through learning life lessons we become the wise teacher.

I am calling this the Happiness Full Moon. The Gemini Sun is ruled by Mercury at 29 degrees Taurus (our thoughts and perceptions). This is a completion energy and asks us to release those thoughts and ideas that limit us. At 7.49 pm EDT Mercury enters Gemini (until June 12) and the Sabian Symbol being activated is “A Glass Bottomed Boat Reveals Undersea Wonders”. The feeling is one of wonder. I did not know this could exist! How Beautiful. How exciting. A NEW DIMENSION OF REALITY IS PERCEIVED. (An Astrological Mandala by Dane Rudhyar). Mercury will be out of bounds (beyond limits) June 06 to 24 giving us all support to think outside the box. But we must do that with honour and respect for all that is. From now until May 31 Mercury will sextile (easy opportunity) Chiron in Aries (new beginnings) healing mental blocks that may prevent us from seeing that “new dimension of reality”.  

The Moon in Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter Rx at 15 degrees Scorpio (releasing whatever blocks our happiness). Jupiter (expansion and growth of our spiritual vision) is trine Neptune at 16 degrees Pisces (spiritual illumination) and Venus at 11 degrees Cancer (spiritual destiny). This is Pyramid Power for manifesting our heart’s desire. This is a water Grand Trine asking us to be guided by our intuitive knowing. There is also a Grand Trine in Fire at this Full Moon. Chiron at 01 degrees Aries (healing abandonment wounds) is trine (ease and flow) the North Node at 07 degrees Leo (following a path with heart) and the Moon in Sagittarius (your spiritual vision) completes the Pyramid Energy. The Moon and North Node also form a Grand Fire Trine with the Asteroid Juno at 14 degrees Aries giving us all an opportunity to be our authentic self in relationship.

We are still working with the Mars in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. As we mentioned in the Taurus New Moon of May 15 post this is a Fourth Quarter Square of revision and realignment that influences us until late Sept so is potent until them. Mars (affirmative action) is travelling with the Aquarius South Node (releasing the past) and they are both trine the Gemini Sun (changing our thoughts, changing our life) which is sextile the Leo North Node (following a path with heart). So I will ask again. What is your happiness? What are you grateful for? When that is the foundation in your life the challenges ahead become opportunities for amazing experiences.
