2021 Scorpio New Moon

The vibrational essence of this Scorpio New Moon cycle is “intensity”. Scorpio’s theme is going deeply within, identifying what needs to be released, letting go, healing, and transformation. This is the Fixed Water sign that can resist the “letting go” part of the transformational journey. It feels things deeply but likes to be control so finds it difficult to express and release those emotions except perhaps through anger. If ever there was a time to embrace the transformation process it is this Moon Cycle.

“So it is that we must weather that dark time…The period of transformation when what was familiar has been taken away…And the new richness is not yet ours.” Ram Das

The new richness is coming in at the Sagittarius New Moon Solar Eclipse of Dec 04 but we have to make space for it. This Scorpio New Moon supports us to clear and release the old and open to that new richness. At our current New Moon the Sun and Moon are at 12 degrees Scorpio 40 opposite the astrological Earth at 12 degrees Taurus 40 travelling with Uranus Rx at 12 degrees Taurus 47. Uranus asks us to focus on breaking through to what is of true value and importance and release what is not. This is particularly powerful in the next few hours after the New Moon when the oppositions between Uranus and the Moon (intense emotions) and the Sun (true authentic self) are exact. This opposition is in a wide T Square to Saturn at 07 degrees Aquarius 23 (strengthen the foundation for your new vision).  T Squares make us feel backed into a corner. Saturn asks us to find our inner power as we navigate our path. On Dec 24 Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus form the third and last of their Fourth Square aspect that we have been working with since Mid-Feb and Mid-June. The theme has been realignment and revision. Pay attention to what comes up in that respect during this Scorpio New Moon cycle. 

We have two planetary guides for this Scorpio New Moon. Mars is at 03 degrees Scorpio 33 supporting us to take transformational action and adding to the intensity. He will be in Scorpio until Dec 13 continuing the theme of release and transformation. The second guide is Pluto at 24 degrees Capricorn 31 (transformation of society). He is still in the influence of the square to Eris who is Rx at 24 Aries 03 (discord or purposeful action). Eris in Aries is individual freedom while Pluto in Capricorn is the path to personal empowerment. The Earth and Uranus in Taurus are guided by Venus at 29 degrees Sagittarius 27 (inspired spiritual vision). She will enter Capricorn on Nov 05 also the day Mercury (our thoughts and perceptions) enters Scorpio (transformational thinking). Venus will also continue the theme of transformation in December when she travels with Pluto in Capricorn. She retrogrades Dec 19 so it also a time of inner transformation. And yes the journey of release and transformation continues.

On Nov 19 we have a Taurus Full Moon eclipse that completes the lessons of the last six months. We will write more closer to that time but the theme is breaking through to what is of true value and importance. 

Our Animal Totem guide for this Scorpio New Moon is Snake, shedding the old and renewal. For the Earth and Uranus in Taurus we are guided by Beaver, releasing the old and building the new. They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere. But for all of us the Sacred Guide for Scorpio is The Phoenix, resurrection. The Clan Mother for Scorpio is Walks Tall Woman. She is the keeper of new paths and teaches us to walk our truth. For Taurus it is Listening Woman. She is the guardian of stillness and inner knowing. She teaches us how to hear the truth. However we look at this journey it leads us to release and renewal.
