Accepting Total Responsibility for Our Lives

You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be the most useful. ~ Marie Curie, physicist and first woman to win a Nobel Prize
I know some of you are familiar with the work of Dr. Hew Len in the Hawaiian ritual of Ho’oponopono. The basis of Ho’oponopono is that each of us is totally responsible for everything in our lives—everything.
My spirit guides have been saying that for years. However, whenever we remind folks, we often meet with resistance. No surprise there.
What would be your response if someone said you were responsible for everything in your life? Not all that long ago, my response was total disbelief. How on earth could I be responsible for what I see in the world out there? The answer is I made the world “out there.” Therefore, I am responsible for it.
For those not familiar with Dr. Hew Len’s work, let me briefly describe it here.
Dr. Hew Len
Long ago, Dr. Len worked four years at Hawaii State Hospital in a ward for the criminally insane.. The professional staff almost literally hated working there. After all, it was a pretty dangerous place. Unsurprisingly, there was a continual turnover of staff.
Dr. Len never saw patients. He simply sat in his office and reviewed the patient files. Then he would work on healing whatever needed healing in himself. He did this by repeating “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.”
Patients started being released. Today that ward is closed.

Here’s a fascinating interview with Dr. Hew Len. He explains how each of us is 100% responsible for what we see in the world “out there.”
In the early 1980s, John took a spiritual development course and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.
Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.” Source
