We are often amazed by how addicted people can become to their mobile phones and how much this can interfere with personal relationships. We wondered what Spirit has to say about this.

Mobile phones have many advantages, but by now people should also be aware of the harm they can cause, such as exposure to radiation, accidents due to a lack of attention in traffic, hearing loss from high volumes, concentration problems, and so on.

Besides the potential physical harm, excessive phone use also has a social impact, as it reduces personal contact and communication. Becoming less aware of one's surroundings is another consequence.

We won't go any further into all these aspects, because there is something much more important.

Humans do many things unconsciously, and constantly looking at the phone is one of them.

It will benefit your personal growth to take a good look at your phone habits. How often do you use your phone, and why? What is so important? Is it really important? Why?

One of the most crucial and fundamental aspects of life—something people do unconsciously and take for granted—is breathing. You don't breathe simply to take in oxygen. Without breath, you would not be alive. With each inhale, you receive Light. With every breath, you are brought into life. Each moment. Continuously.

The Breath is the Source and Mystery of life. We suggest that you spend time with your breath instead of with your phone.

Wouldn't it be much more worthwhile to pay attention to your breathing than to check how many likes you have received? How deep is your breath? What emotional message is it giving you?

Become aware of the way you breathe and what it truly means. It will benefit you in ways your phone never will.
