This week’s maps are less about grand declarations and more about catching what arrives quickly. Mercury faces Neptune while Venus settles into Scorpio and begins to slow. Read Sun and Rising, then keep a page nearby: the useful material may not wait for Monday.

Aries

There may be a sudden shift in consciousness this weekend, which may require a redirect. This could be uncomfortable at first but it could prove to be fortuitous if you are willing to be open to new information. Also note that it doesn’t need to cost a lot to solve any current dilemmas. If you are unsure about something, then wait until you are sure. Don’t rush into anything. No matter how tempting. However do take notes over the weekend. There’s no telling what may be downloaded. Something could prove to be quite useful in the end. So take notes. But don’t rush. Instead channel some of that energy through some sort of physical challenge. Use the recent New Moon to start an exercise regimen, incorporate long walks into your routines. Starting something along those lines now, could prove to show benefits in the long run. So could tending to some long overdue chores that may have been piling up. There’s a lot of vital energy at your disposal this week. Make good use of it.

Taurus

Your ruling planet is gradually slowing for her retrograde station next week, and now that she has entered Scorpio you may find yourself focusing in on what the prevailing theme for the next several months is going to look like. One thing that may become more apparent are the things that you have been trying to ignore, but can’t be ignored any longer. Now that Venus is in Scorpio she’s not fooling around. There’s no kicking the can down the road any more, or pretending things away. Some sort of gradual transformation is well nigh due, and if you don’t start addressing it in some way, your probably will only be forced to later on. There’s going to be a lot of shedding of skins here. Letting go of the things that are not only cluttering your life, but cluttering your psyche as well. Doing any of this work can have remarkable results, and paves the way for even deeper awareness and understanding. When you are willing to put down the baggage, you will then be able to proceed both energized and inspired when you find yourself carrying a much lighter load than you had been previously.

Gemini

As we approach the weekend be willing to be open. With Mercury opposing Neptune you may find yourself a little scattered and overwhelmed. Perhaps there is a little information overload. Now that Mercury is in Libra it should be helpful. If you are unclear, ask questions, do the research and have those discussions. What you learn could prove to be both inspiring and fascinating. The weekend may just come and go, but also know that they are going to be tintillating with flourishes of insight and flashes of genius. And you will want to try to get hold of some of those ideas. And even if you can’t apply them right away, take notes before they slip away. For this is the sort of weather in which great ideas can be visited upon you, but they will leave as quickly as they arrive. And chances are you will want to take a deeper dive in order to get even more information. That first taste will leave you wanting more.

Cancer

Mars in Cancer is going to continue to be in your sign until the end of this month. At times it will raise the hackles on the back of your neck with frustration and annoyance. But this week it is channeling a lot of that energy in ways that could be quite inspiring and energizing. See if you can put it to some sort of use. Even if it is only to take a walk about the neighborhood. Be motivated. But also be inspired. This weekend is just brimming with new ideas and possibilities. And if you can’t decide which of these you might want to pursue, just sit with it. Let the information flow over you. And take hold of what seems interesting. But also don’t ignore those other ideas either. There may be something valuable there as well. Keep a file. Put them in a ledger somewhere. For these ideas are going to be rapidly downloading. And you will want to give them deeper attention later on, when you will have time to diagnose, research, and separate the ones that are worth your valuable time and consideration.

Leo

When the Sun is sextile Mars as it is this week, it can get you motivated, moving and raring to go. This is all the more so as it is coming on the heels of the recent New Moon in Virgo. If you were trying to get something started any way, this is a good week to do so. At the very least make yourself aware of what your options are. Educate yourself. Ask questions. If you are unclear about where you are headed, get advice and do the research. This weekend is particularly optimum for that sort of search. Then go out and do what you have to do. There’s a lot of vital energy here. And if you can but channel even a bit of it, you can get a great deal done in a short time. Organize your life. Toss out what is no longer needed. Assert yourself a bit, and be courageous. Being willing to step up to the plate could prove to the world exactly what it is that you have to offer. Be courageous.

Virgo

Allow yourself to be amazed this weekend. You may find yourself going in with a little confusion and maybe a bit of consternation. You are not yet sold. However the more you read, the more you investigate, the more you discuss, the clearer things will be. It may feel like you are a bit scattered, but really what is being asked of you is to slow down. Turn down the volume of your life just long enough to be able to get tuned into the appropriate channels. You’ll be glad you did. As a result of doing so you’ll be able to see more, hear more and understand more than you had before. Take notes. This is the sort of information that can be downloaded in a huge way all at once. And you will want to sort it all out later, when you have the time and distance to look at things more objectively. Don’t dismiss what you are learning. You will want to refer to those notes later. And you are perfectly situated to be on the receiving end of something that can totally change your perspective about things, and perhaps even life itself.

Libra

You are well situated to be on the receiving end of some pretty insightful information this weekend. But in order to fully take advantage of it you are going to have to create a certain amount of space for wonder, and the imagination. Just let it be for now. Which could be hard when sociable Mercury is in your sign. Do go out and engage your social calendar. But also pay attention to what is being brought before your attention. Don’t dismiss it if it seems to wild, or totally outside of your wheelhouse. You might not want to jump on it right away, but you might want to put it in a safe file somewhere in order to consider them at a later date when you can look at them more objectively. At that point you can sift through all the information, and figure out for yourself what is or is not worth saving. What you may discover is that things and/or other people are not necessarily what or who you thought they were. And there may be a lot more involved before all is said and done. Be open. Be surprised. But also be willing to research what you are learning now, later.

Scorpio

Those Scorpios born in the earlier degrees of the sign (23 Oct to 1 Nov) or who have the first 9º of Scorpio Rising are likely to see some sort of reckoning with relationships, finances, and reconciling the past, these next 3 months. But everyone in Scorpio world will already felt Venus slowly and carefully entering your domain on the 10th of September. At this point she is gradually slowing for her retrograde phase. That is when we often go within, and seek quiet spaces in order to reassess our alliances, our self-worth and financial security. And that will certainly be true this time around as well. This time she comes bearing a sack full of reality which she is now tossing at your feet. This could come in many disguises: things that you’ve been avoiding; things that you don’t want to change; things that you thought too disturbing to deal with. One of the pieces she places at your feet is the realization that they are not going away. Another is that you can only kick that can down the road so many times. Do know that she is doing this out of kindness. She wants you to clear the spaces in order for better things to take root. But in order to do that clearing you are going to have to face all those things that you’ve been avoiding or ignoring. They can no longer be ignored. It will take a little courage and work, but transformations are serious business and take a little gumption. This feels a bit like you are preparing the cocoon that will ultimately allow some sort of transformation to occur. And once that transformation begins there will be no turning back.

Sagittarius

A few weeks back a plan was beginning to be formulated. A plan that was filled with excitement, hope and possibility. But every plan will inevitably face some sort of reckoning and a few corrections along the way. You are entering an area of uncertainty over the next several weeks, that is meant to correct any over-reaching or generalized avoidance. That being said, if you keep your eyes open and your ears sharp this weekend, something is ready to come into focus. Like an epiphany you are being shown something from another perspective. Something that could prove to be enlightening. Take notes. Write your ideas down. Do not ignore them, even if they don’t make sense right away. Your mind is being opened in such a way that you will be able to see things in a whole new light, and that is where those answers, any new ideas will be found. Be willing to look beyond your usual haunts. If you can see the opportunities that are opening up, the sooner you can take advantage of them and put them into application One thing we are all being shown is that divisions are mere fabrications. Empathy, kindness and compassion thrive when we come to realize that we are all here struggling together in this great cosmic ocean we call life.

Capricorn

Look for ideas to pop into your head over the weekend. Ideas like new visitors who are attempting to find some sort of room in which to take root. Welcome them gladly. You won’t want to scare them away. You might want to verify their claims. But you also don’t want to reject them outright. No matter how outlandish. Bring a cup of tea and an open mind. There’s no telling where this all will lead in the end. And if you rush them out before they get to the punchline, you could regret it later. Messages can come in many disguises. The guy at the water fountain at work, who notices something you didn’t. The elder down the block who offers their insights. It could also just be the right time, in the right place, that makes you realize that you hadn’t quite seen things the way they were. And that there could be solutions. Even if they sound a little silly, take them seriously. You don’t need to commit right away, but you should at least consider the possibilities that are brewing.

Aquarius

In order to make the right sort of transformation you are first going to have to realize that some sort of change is well nigh due. There is no getting around this. No more kicking the can down the road. No more denial. If only you could just ignore the reality of a situation, things would be so easy! But actually the cosmos has other ideas. There is a suggestion here that if you begin to take care of business now, then things will be much easier to take care of later on, when there are less choices, or things are taken out of your hands. This can be as simple as clearing space in your life for someone or something that is foremost in your mind right now. Or moving through any fears of rejection, recognizing that what makes you memorable and attractive are not that you are like everyone else. In fact it is what makes you unique and different that people are fascinated with. Embrace your differences like a badge of honor. Part of your transformation is owning and accepting your true self in all their glory.

Pisces

Sometimes when Mercury opposes Neptune as it will this weekend, it can render us confused, scattered and overwhelmed. If that is the case, sit with it and don’t force it. What Mercury wants you to do is to slow down enough in order to see more, hear more and notice more. And perhaps even be inspired in a whole new way. Do allow space for daydreaming. But also pay attention to what is coming up this weekend. It could be sudden and unexpected. And ideas can leave quite as quickly as they arrive. So you will want to log them somewhere, where you can access them later. They might not make any sense when at first they are downloaded, but they very well could later. Also note that with this illuminating weather this weekend that a problem can be solved simply by being willing to look at it from another perspective. If necessary do a deep dive and seek out more information before you fully commit. There is something to be learned here. Also note that sudden shifts in plans could prove to be fortuitous in the end. Do not be disappointed.
