The Attitude of Service

The Attitude of Service

This quote from William LePar’s spiritual source, The Council, requires no introduction.

The attitude of spirituality is an attitude of service, of giving, of doing, and even though we are at the portico of the House of God, we still give because it is the giving that unfolds the god within. It is your interaction with each other that helps you discover how wonderful you really are when you want to be, how godly you truly are when you want to be, and how true it is that you are an ambassador of this Divine Essence.

You are the channel through which God makes His Presence known in your world. We said in the beginning that spirituality is an attitude. Yes, it is. It is that simple. It is an attitude of love, of giving, of compassion, of commitment, of thinking about the next person before you think about yourself. It is the willingness to reach out and fulfill the needs of another individual, not when it is convenient for you but when the need must be dealt with or taken care of. Giving, not when it is convenient for you, but when the opportunity avails itself to you.
