The Council: Can Children Grow Out Of Hyperkinesis?

The Council: Can Children Grow Out Of Hyperkinesis?

Here we have a further, and more in-depth discussion of hyperkinesis, its causes and possible treatment. William LePar’s spiritual source, The Council, stresses the avoidance of instability in the home and importantly proper diet. They also point out the effects of these issues on learning.

Questioner:  Is it the theory that many hyperkinetic children outgrow this condition in their teen-age years as they reach puberty, is there accuracy to that or do they carry it with them into their adulthood?

The Council:  Again, in some cases this can be just a phase.  The sensitivity to the toxins can be overcome, but there are many cases where the outward manifestation of the allergy simply changes its appearance.

Questioner:  Into, like, what please?

The Council:  Such as an emotional withdrawal in one aspect or another.  The inability to handle certain emotional stresses that would be under, shall we say, average conditions; the normal ability to handle such things would not be there.

Questioner:  Before you had indicated to a particular individual that part of the situation with hyperkinesis was tied up with instability in the home situation, family situation.  Would this also be a common problem or one of the contributing factors to the hyperkinesis?

The Council:  As a general rule, shall we put it that way, a child who is overactive can cause unnecessary strain within a family unit, and it is a matter then of backlash from the other individuals in the family unit.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Yes.

The Council: The inability of those individuals to cope with the overactive child can only cause more problems in the child, in that they show a lack of understanding, and thus an intolerance to the child and naturally friction which would develop causing greater irritations in the child, and as the child becomes older in years and the schooling comes into the picture, the activities of the child then could appear to give the impression of a poor learner or a slow learner thus denying the child's opportunity to learn normally, and also the amount of information that the child can assimilate.  This then one could see would cause an effect later on in life, so it can be a progressive effect on an individual.  Now, as to the medication mentioned earlier, naturally, if a child is in a severe situation, if we may use that term, or a severe condition, then for immediate correction medication would be acceptable, but at the same time the diet must be changed radically, and through careful watching, those things that are toxin to the system can be determined and thus weeded out, so that there would be, shall we say, a few things that a child would not be able to handle in the system, thus giving the child a fairly normal diet.
