The Council: The Mind - Part 1

The Council: The Mind - Part 1

Here we begin a four-part series on the attributes of the mind as explained by William LePar’s spiritual source, The Council.

In this quote they tell us that the physical bodies that we currently utilize are not our natural state of existence. We are spirits that have become entrapped in the physical.

Questioner:  And the first question is, In the 31st Trance you gave us a bulk of information concerning the subconscious mind and the physical where you said that those weaknesses from the spirit resulting from past incarnations were in that part of the subconscious that was closest to the physical, which required the physical then to deal with those weaknesses and correct them.  You also have said that at times the physical avoids having to deal with these problems, and our question is: Why is the physical in conflict with the spiritual when the physical is created by the spiritual?

The Council:  Well, we would think that one should be able to see very clearly why that would be; although we have not given it to you directly, we have given it to you in, shall we say, a roundabout way, hoping that you would be able to ferret out the answer for yourself.  Probably the simplest way or a way that would be most easily understood, would be this: you must remember now that the physical container, the tool, is not a natural existence for you, but comes from the separation from the Divine Source and your at-one-ment with God; it is, shall we say, a foreign element to your actual being or existence; not that it is separate from you, you understand, but that it is not your natural mode of existence.  Now, you, regardless of who it may be, are in a physical form because in the past incarnations you have not been able to cancel out those things that you were indebted for.  Instead in most cases you would cancel out one situation, and replace it with two others; so that in actuality it has become an entrapment.  Over the eons of time that area that we described as the subconscious segment that contains the karmic situation has become so entrenched in certain, shall we say, respects or attitudes or debts that when the spirit then moves to actually manifest a physical form and a situation for which it is to learn through, that final element of consciousness, that final, shall we say, subconscious area is so set by the past experiences that the tool would appear to have its own sense of direction; now again, it would appear to have its own sense of direction or its own life-force; in actuality it does not; but the, shall we say, habitual attitude of separation from the Divine Source is so instilled in that final level that it moves at times opposite to what the soul really knows it should.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Vaguely.

Next – In part two you will learn more on this topic.
