Hallelujah! The baseline for relationships has finally changed. I woke up this morning giddy as a schoolgirl, knowing our fundamental interactions have shifted from codependency to interdependence. This is huge! This is how we relate to other people, as well as everything around us.

On an individual level, in the past a partner or friend was chosen because they were of some kind of “use” to us. We valued an aspect of the person, not the whole package. Maybe we felt loved, or financially supported, or we could live our care-taking story, or the attraction was karmic (repeating pattern). In each case, the relationship was half empty, because we drew the person to us to fill a certain role. They felt the relationship was half empty also, because they drew you in to fill a role, too. This is codependency. Neither one is really happy in the long run, but you both agree to stay for your role.

Interdependence is the opposite. People need people, and we all have a part to someone else’s puzzle. Relationships are vital. Cradle to grave, we need others to survive and thrive. The big difference is that we will now want to give as much as receive. Interdependence is about supporting each other to be the best we can be. Think relationship at a heart level, rather than the ego level. If someone loves you at the heart level (unconditional love) they always want you to grow into your best self. Movement, not stagnation and misery.

What this means on a practical (esoteric) level is that the emotional hook (guilt, lust, martyrdom, duty) has been removed. Don’t be surprised if the ego glue holding your relationships together dissolves rapidly. This doesn’t necessarily mean the relationship will end, it may just shift to the next octave. Imagine being surrounded by people all supporting each other to evolve into their best self… magic!

Now for the really exciting part… life is fractal. Our relationships with our body, our job, and our planet have all shifted. Imagine supporting your body to be as healthy as it can be. Without the self-sabotage of the ego, supporting the health of the body comes naturally. Same with the planet. If we now want to support Gaia to be as healthy as she can be, imagine the paradise.

As I said, reality is fractal. Companies will definitely feel this shift. People will begin to support only those companies that support their employees and the environment. Instead of fighting the old, we will simply support the new. Walking away from any version of codependency will become the norm in the next few weeks and months. This shift is really moving!

No need to panic, these changes won’t happen over night. Just be aware of the change in “emotional juice” binding some of your relationships. If you have been staying involved due to ego attachments, just know it is perfectly okay to elevate to the heart, or just walk away. Elevating or leaving will be obvious and much easier than before now. When in doubt, just wait, watch, and feel. The new world is here.
