- Written by AndEl

To give yourself the gift of loving kindness is to give yourself the gift of life. Is to allow yourself to be all that life created you to be. And through your words and actions, to inspire and empower those around you to do the same.
“Like a caring mother holding and guarding the life of her only child, so with a boundless heart of lovingkindness, hold yourself and all beings as your beloved children.” ~ Buddha
By practicing these techniques of mindful loving kindness, you will naturally increase your own compassion, tolerance, understanding and acceptance for both yourself, and for others. And you will live your life from a more serene, peaceful and loving place.
Loving Kindness Meditation
Today’s guided meditation uses techniques of progressive relaxation and imagined visualization that are meant to help you positively enhance your own happiness and inner healing energy through the practice of universal loving kindness.
Remember to first, find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed for the next 40 minutes. Second, find a comfortable position to sit – it can be on a chair, crossed legged or on your knees, or lay down and when you’re ready, press play. Once the meditation session is over, you can share your experience with all of us by commenting below.
