Light Fades: Embracing Spiritual Void
Written by Anna Merkaba

Have you ever found yourself in a moment where the rituals no longer feel sacred?
Where the meditation feels hollow, the journaling brings no insight, the crystals don’t hum, and even the moon phases seem distant?
Where it feels like you’ve slipped into an invisible space between what once was and what has not yet arrived?
If so, you are not alone.
More and more people walking the spiritual path are quietly whispering the same words: “I don’t feel connected anymore.”
The Stillness That Remakes Us
What you’re experiencing is not failure. It is not regression. It is not a sign that you’ve lost your way.
It is a sacred passage known in many lineages by different names:
The spiritual void. The inner winter. The dark night of the soul.
This is the space between soul chapters, where the old tools no longer work because you are no longer the same person who once used them.
And yet—you haven’t quite arrived at who you are becoming either.
It is a deeply initiatory time. But it rarely feels that way when you’re in it.
Why This Happens
Many who come to me for remote healing sessions arrive in this space, sometimes with panic in their voice and other times with quiet resignation.
They say things like:
“I used to feel so guided, but now… it’s just silence.”
“I’m doing everything I used to do, but it’s not landing.”
“I feel empty—and not in a peaceful way.”
Here’s what I often share: this void is not a sign that you’ve lost connection—it’s a sign that your consciousness has outgrown its last container.
You’re no longer being fed by the same practices because your soul has metabolized those frequencies.
Now, it is asking for something different.
Not louder. Not faster. Not more.
But deeper.
It’s Not Depression, Though It Can Feel Like It
Let’s be honest—when you’re in the void, it can mimic the symptoms of depression:
- Disinterest in things that once brought joy
- A heaviness in the body or aura
- Emotional flatness or low motivation
But here’s the crucial distinction:
In depression, the world loses meaning.
In the spiritual void, the old meanings dissolve—because your soul is preparing to create new ones.
What You Can Do Now
This is not a time to force breakthroughs.
It is a time to tend to the soil. To allow the fallow season.
Here are some gentle, restorative tools that can support you as you navigate this passage:
Flower Essences
- Wild Oat – For those uncertain of their direction, especially after a spiritual “plateau.”
- Cerato – Helps rebuild inner trust when intuition feels silent.
- Star of Bethlehem – To comfort the heart during soul-level grief or disorientation.
Cell Salts
- Nat Mur (No. 9) – Supports emotional recalibration and spiritual grief.
- Calc Phos (No. 2) – For those feeling depleted after long cycles of growth or effort.
Simple Practices
- Void Walks: Go for slow, intentionless walks. No podcasts. No agenda. Just presence.
- Candle Sitting: Light a candle and sit in front of it. No prayer. No asking. Just being.
- The “I Don’t Know” Journal: Write down questions you don’t have answers to. Let your soul speak back in silence.
And If You Need Support…
You do not have to figure this out alone.
Many of the souls I work with come to me not because they need “fixing,” but because they need to be witnessed in this sacred in-between.
My remote healing sessions are not just for clarity—they are for communion.
I connect etherically to your field, not to pull you out of the void, but to help you remember how to be held inside it.
Because this isn’t the end of your path.
It’s the space where your next path begins forming in the unseen.
You Are Not Lost. You Are Re-Creating.
This quiet space where your rituals fall flat and your heart feels unplugged?
It is not the absence of light.
It is the womb of it.
Stay with yourself here. Tend gently. Listen not with your mind, but with your soul’s breath.
The new will arrive when you are soft enough to receive it.
And it will be more true than anything you’ve ever known.
With Care and Love,
