Perception and Choice Shape Your Reality Across Space-Time

No need to seek freedom; you’ve never not been free.

As we gallivant on this journey, it’s easy to lose sight of the deeper reasons for our individual paths, meaning the particular way your life has continued to unfold since birth. These consciousness systems, which we refer to as "ourselves," act, respond, and encounter every next experience throughout space-time based on a neural tapestry of previous moments of perception, which then sculpt the framework for choice.

Beliefs and perspectives remain affixed to these intelligence systems’ inner processors that are truly the “experiencing technology” of that which defies definition. Partnered with quantum levels of mind, we wander into choice points; not randomly, but guided by a continuous stream of accumulated perceptions and internal beliefs. These are not just ideas; they are neural networks, ever shaping what we see as real or possible.

Research on predictive coding and the brain (Rao & Ballard, 1999) shows that the brain constantly uses past experiences to predict and “filter” present reality which supports the focus of this article in that our trajectory through life is sculpted by prior perception.

Since "freedom" is a core theme of our species, it’s clear that our perception is what defines it. We travel as consciousness systems through various dimensions of the space-time continuum, not just the familiar “Earth realm” perceived through the senses, but also through non-local spaces that don't require definition to exist. They are, and they function as experiential platforms for the growth of our consciousness.

In driving home the point of this article on freedom, choice and perception, scientific concepts help to stimulate a realization of the possibilities. Theories in quantum cognition and non-local consciousness (Penrose & Hameroff, 2014) support the notion that awareness is not limited to brain-bound perception alone, while hinting at multidimensional experience frameworks.

Space-Time Definition

"Because space consists of 3 dimensions, and time is 1-dimensional, space-time must, therefore, be a 4-dimensional object. It is believed to be a 'continuum' because so far as we know, there are no missing points in space or instants in time, and both can be subdivided without any apparent limit in size or duration."

Einstein himself stated:

“The views of space and time which I wish to lay before you have sprung from the soil of experimental physics, and therein lies their strength. They are radical. Henceforth, space by itself, and time by itself, are doomed to fade away into mere shadows, and only a kind of union of the two will preserve an independent reality."

I share this definition not to define the infinite but to offer context. Even without the scientific framing, if one is open then what is being shared here will resonate. You’ve never, not been free. You only perceive a lack of freedom because of the inherited lenses you're still learning to see beyond.
