Virgo New Moon and Pisces Lunar Eclipse - September Astro Happenings

Hello Friends of Astrology,

The main message for the month of September is about creating a routine that honors all aspects of your life. Finding that sweet spot that allows time for body, mind, and spirit as well as the practical tasks and work that supports what you value most is key. The Lunar eclipse reminds us to reconnect with our higher purpose while still having our feet firmly planted on the ground. 

Virgo New Moon

The Virgo new moon on Monday the 2^nd kicks off the month of September on the USA Labor Day holiday. This is a perfect beginning to help us with inspiration for our work and health. The Sabian symbol for the new moon at 11 degrees of Virgo is "A Boy Molded in His Mother's Aspirations for Him." This symbol suggests themes of parental influence, expectations, and the shaping of one's identity according to external ideals or ambitions. It often highlights the tension between personal desires and societal or familial pressures. (Marc Edmund Jones)

The planet of change, Uranus, is extra strong this new moon as it went retrograde the day before essentially sitting still and beaming its vibe for changes in earthly matters. With Uranus in Taurus, and the new moon in its sister earth sign, changes in mundane matters are bound to happen. Mars, the planet of action, is in Gemini, the sign of multiple choices and square Neptune, bringing confusion and creating a quandary of what exactly to do. 

Since Virgo has much to do about health and Mars with Neptune can be infections, awareness of staying healthy is one of the primary messages with this new moon. The positive side is meditation in movement or physical action that is creative. Neptune has an affinity with water therefore activities that are around water are also another way to use the vibe. 

The new moon in Virgo is a great time to set intentions for organizing your space, replenishing your supply of herbs and vitamins, and resetting your intentions for exercise and meditation. This is an excellent time to take an overview of what keeps you healthy and the routine needed for your body, mind and spirit that you can carry forward for months to come.

Mars in Cancer

Mars moves into Cancer on the 4^th for the next two months shifting the power of action using skill to go around an obstacle if one is in its way. Mars in Cancer can be passive aggressive and use emotions to move the needle to getting ones way. If you have people in your life that tend to use manipulation for their own benefit simply be aware. Don’t give your power away when someone is trying to use guilt or other means to change what is best for you. The positive side of Mars in Cancer is putting positive action into your home space to experience positive feelings every time you walk through the door to your home. Learn the basics of Feng Shui and do a bit of Marie Kondo to eliminate objects in your house that stir bad memories or no longer make you feel good when you look at them.

Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Pisces

The lunar eclipse on the 17^th at 25 degrees of Pisces has a beautiful grand trine configuration along with a strong Neptune emphasis. The Sabian symbol for 25 degrees of Pisces is "The Purging of the Priesthood." This symbol suggests themes of purification, renewal, and the elimination of outdated or corrupt practices. It highlights the need for spiritual and moral cleansing, as well as the importance of integrity and honesty in positions of influence or authority. (Marc Edmund Jones)

The grand trine is in earth signs with the Sun in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn, and Uranus in Taurus with the focus for stability, security and grounding in our daily life. The Moon with Neptune in Pisces brings longing for the ideal and the importance of having a spiritual practice and faith that no matter what we see in the material world much is an illusion and not to get sucked into drama or believe all that is being presented. 

The full moon of Pisces illuminates the suffering of others and reminds us that even small acts of kindness and compassion will make a huge difference even if we aren’t acknowledged or if the implications of our kindness are unseen. Let your heart lead and have faith that paying it forward has its own rewards. 

Libra Equinox

The day the sun moves into Libra, the equinox, Venus, the ruling planet of Libra is in an exact square with Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth. The underlying message of Libra is fairness, balance in life, justice, and equality. Venus with Pluto will fight to the end for the values she stands for. The equinox carries its vibration for the next 3 months until the winter solstice. The main theme that will unfold hovers around being with like-minded individuals that stand for similar values that you hold near and dear. This is becomes crystal clear between the Solar eclipse October 2^nd and Pluto moving direct October 11^th. 

The light side of the Libra season is taking time to enjoy friends in pleasant social gatherings. Find a good art festival, make plans for meeting friends for diner, check out a new music venue, take an art or dance class or other activities that make life more than just routine work and responsibilities. 

The last weekend of September the moon is in Leo all Friday and Saturday which will be a great time to share special time with friends. There is openness and generosity these 2 days, a bit of indulging is in order. The final 2 days of October the moon is in Virgo so it is back to the gym, healthy eating, cleaning, chores, and work obligations.
