We would like to discuss with you one of the most underrated transformative tools that exists within our reach, and that, in part because of its extreme simplicity, goes unnoticed. That tool is the question.

Almost all of the human race has been programmed to report or narrate on what they perceive to be facts about reality, rather than about hypothetical constructs. People see something and tell themselves, "that is the way it is." They see an obstacle and tell themselves, "that is my limitation." They see a behavior and tell themselves, "that is the way I am." Reality confirms our perceptions.

Every statement of reality creates an expectation. It creates a framework for what experiences the mind and the eyes will deal with or come in contact with.

When you pose a question the world is invited to provide answers. When the world is asked a question, it is invited to show movement and to open new spaces.

When you ask a question, the world is invited to show new possibilities that were concealed behind previous assumptions.

Think about standing in front of an uncrossable range of mountains. If you have determined that there is no way through, then your journey has come to an end before it has begun. But as soon as you ask, "How can I find the way?", the details that were not perceptible moments before begin to show. There may be numerous ways to pass through the mountains or there may be a guide with the answer.

The mountains are the same. It is you that has changed.

The Impact of a Question

People spend years repeating declarative sentences about their own lives. They say they feel stuck. They say there are no opportunities. They say there is no point trying to create change. They say they don't know what to do next.

Declarative sentences reinforce the current structure of reality.

Questions create positive disruption.

Instead of declaring, "I don't know what my life purpose is," try, "How is my life purpose already revealing itself to me?"

Where some people say, "I have a problem," try thinking, "What is the opportunity within this situation?"

Instead of saying "Nothing is changing," say, "What changes have already occurred that I don't know about yet, or I haven't been fully aware of?"

Try to recognize the difference between the approaches. One fully shuts a door. The other opens the door.

Rivers provide another good analogy. When a river comes to a big boulder, it stays curious. It moves, exploring all possibilities around one side of the boulder and then the other. It even finds channels hidden away and beyond the reach of the boulder. Over the course of a long time, and of many explorations, a river can change the landscape around it. The river is never stuck by the circumstance of a boulder because its nature is to move and explore.

Consciousness works the same way.

"Any time you actually ask a question, your energy flows, exploring new ideas that form connections and create new pathways within the realm of the possible."

Sudden realizations, spontaneous connections with strangers, and even sentences in books can all contain solutions to our most challenging problems. They can come from messages, dreams, or seemingly random occurrences.

There are countless ways for answers to present themselves to you.

You may recognize the solution to your problem far later than it actually presents itself to you.

This is like a gardener sowing seeds. The gardener knows that the seed will sprout with sunlight, water, and time. The gardener knows growth takes time, and the seed will shoot up on its own.

The questions we ask are like the seeds the gardener plants; some questions are easily answered, while others need the foundations built first.

The world is constantly changing. For some, the most important lessons will be learned through conscious, creative exploration, not by drawing conclusions. Adventuring is the most important thing to the soul, while the mind focuses on the destination. The soul knows the adventure is what is most rewarding, while the mind is focused on the answer.

The most important thing our questions do is keep our consciousness alive.

We'd like to ask you all to meditate on one question today: "What beautiful possibility is already unfolding that I have not yet completely seen?"

Be gentle with yourselves and your surroundings as you ponder the question and provide time for the universe to respond.

You may even recognize that the mere act of pondering the question was enough to open the door to a new reality.

"With every new question, a new world may enter your experience."
