2018 Virgo New Moon

Grandfather Sun was high in the sky as Snowy Owl and Shooting Star climbed the path to the Star Temple. Summer in the North Country was coming to a close but even though the air was cool the sunlight warmed their bodies as they made their way up the path. They noticed some of the leaves on the Standing Ones had already started to turn golden. The Plant and Flower People were turning to seed to begin a cycle of sleep. It was a time of transition.

When the sisters reached the Star Temple the Star Walkers, Arista and Dauphin, were waiting for them. It had been a long time since these guides had greeted the young women so they knew this was a special Moon ceremony. Arista spoke first “Sister Moon has asked us to speak for her at this Moon Time. I am to remind you that everything Great Mystery has created has a sacred purpose. You have a sacred purpose. This Moon cycle is about journeying into your inner universe and discovering your sacred self. You are a reflection of All That Is. It is about recognizing the special healing gifts you are here to share to help heal the world. In the far away time the two leggeds have forgotten why they are have returned to the Earth Mother. It is time for them too to remember. This Moon cycle is a return to the sacred.”

Then Dauphin spoke. “I speak for the Earth Mother. The Dolphin Tribe, which is my ancestry, is one of the guides for her at this New Moon. They remind the two leggeds that this Moon cycle is about healing mind, body, and spirit and learning to breathe joyfulness into life. Dolphin is the guardian of Love For All. The other guide for Mother Earth at this Moon cycle is the Whale Tribe. Whale reminds you when you dive into your inner depths you discover your unique and special song. It is a song of having healed into wholeness. It is then you that you are able to share your gifts to change the world.”

Then Sister Moon spoke. “Arista and Dauphin will be with you for this Moon cycle to guide you on the path of healing into wholeness as you journey within. When you experience wholeness joy is the gift. Be open to receive that gift.”

Snowy Owl and Shooting Star thanked Arista and Dauphin for the guidance they would give them at this Moon cycle. The sisters knew the journey within would be powerful and life changing.

This New Moon is at 17 degrees Virgo 00 minutes. It is trine (removal of obstacles and ease and flow) Pluto Rx at 18 degrees Capricorn (transforming resistance into receptiveness) and they are each sextile (easy opportunity) Jupiter at 18 degrees Scorpio (releasing resistance and expanding your spiritual vision). We are still being influenced by the Leo New Moon Eclipse of Aug 11 and will be until Jan 2019. The theme for that Eclipse is releasing the old structures that no longer work, rebuilding and transformation, and moving forward in a new direction. Our current Virgo Moon cycle asks us to come into alignment in our inner most being. When we heal, the vibration we carry helps to heal the world. The New Moon is opposite Neptune Rx at 15 degrees Pisces (illusion or illumination). Neptune asks us to discern what is true and what is not true. Virgo gives us the ability to know the answer. Pluto is sextile Neptune and Jupiter is trine Neptune. Both energies are supporting us to experience inner transformation and healing when we release illusion and embrace truth.

The traditional ruler of Virgo is Mercury (our thoughts and perceptions). He is at 06 degrees Virgo travelling with Pallas Athene at 02 degrees Virgo (feminine power and wisdom). They form a Grand Earth trine (inner security) with Uranus Rx at 02 degrees Taurus (releasing what is no longer of value) and Saturn at 02 degrees Capricorn (strengthening our spiritual foundation). But Mercury is inconjunct the South Node at 05 degrees Aquarius asking us to let go of past struggles with love and gratitude for the lessons learned. The message is change your thoughts change your life (Wayne Dyer).

I always say if we need to be challenged the Universe provides through the planetary dance. This morning Sept 09 at 5.25 am EDT Venus entered Scorpio (deep healing, transformation, and release). She is igniting a spark that is deep within our beingness to heal into wholeness. Venus will go on her retrograde journey Oct 05 to Nov 16. Pay attention to what she shows you now. It will be part of her retrograde gifts. I always pay attention when Animals appear at significant shifts. This morning (Sept 08) Spider, the Weaver, came to visit me on the front porch. She was free of her web. She was reminding me we too can be free of any “web” we are caught in and create the new. Spider is a Sacred Totem for Scorpio and will guide us on this Venus journey to freeing our spirits.

At Virgo New Moon Venus (valuing ourselves) newly into Scorpio at 00 degrees (releasing what no longer serves) is opposite Uranus in Taurus (breaking free from the past) and they are square (finding new ways of doing things) the South Node in Aquarius (letting go with love) and the North Node at 05 degrees Leo (following a path with heart). Venus is inconjunct (letting go) Chiron Rx at 00 degrees Aries (healing wounds of rejection and abandonment). This is significant as Chiron is the spiritual ruler of the Virgo New Moon.   

Our Animal Totem guide for Pallas, Mercury, and New Moon in Virgo is Brown Bear, introspection, healing, and The Healer. For the astrological Earth in Pisces we are guided by Cougar, spiritual power, and Wolf, the teacher who guides us through change. They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere. Dolphin and Whale are the Sacred Totems for Pisces so are guides for us all. The Clan Mother for Virgo is Setting Sun Woman. She teaches us how to live the truth. (The 13 Original Clan Mothers by Jamie Sams). The Tarot Constellation this New Moon activates is The Hermit, introspection and personal integrity. Our Archangel guides are Uriel, love and peace, Aurora Grace, harmony and balance, Jophiel, creative vision, and Constance Christine, spiritual illumination.

And the other spiritual ruler for Virgo is the Temple Priestess Vesta, the keeper of the Sacred Flame within. She is a symbol for our commitment to our spiritual path. Currently at 27 degrees Sagittarius she is still aligned with the Galactic Center of our Milky Way. This is the portal that allows us to connect with Cosmic Wisdom and Guidance. Vesta supports us to journey within and find our sacred purpose. Mars (taking action) re-enters Aquarius on Sept 10 at 8.56 pm EDT. He is asking us to become the Cosmic Visionary and create A New Earth.
