Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park

As some of you know, I live near Yellowstone National Park. The park sits on top of the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest active supervolcano on the continent.

There have been massive eruptions a few times over the last few million years. If the supervolcano erupted again, it could wipe out a good part of the western US, and maybe more.

A dear friend of mine wrote me a while back, and was concerned about the danger of living here. Certainly, if the volcano erupted, it would destroy all life for many miles around.

So are people around here living in fear of being obliterated by the volcano? I’m certainly not. Neither is anyone else I know.

Reputable scientists say there’s virtually no chance of such volcanic destruction. And even if there was, is it worth living in fear over something that’s not likely to happen? I don’t think so.

Spirit

Let’s talk about fear today.

Source of Fear

You’ve probably heard, somewhere or another, that fear and love are opposites. You cannot feel both at the same time.

It’s pretty simple. Love equals no fear. Fear equals no love.

Fear’s voice, especially in your modern world, can be pretty loud and insistent. It seemingly comes from many directions and many sources.

The reality, though, is it comes from only one source, from only one direction: from within.

What Is Fear?

Ultimately, all fear is fear of annihilation—what you call death.

Fear is not a force outside of you, over which you have no control. Fear is not real, except for the reality you give it.

In other words, it’s an illusion. You are always perfectly safe.

What Is Love?

Love, on the other hand, is real. Love is all that is. Love is power. Love is God.

You’ve probably heard others say, to put it in religious terms, you were made in the image and likeness of God.

Or, as A Course in Miracles puts it, you are God.

Conclusion

Love is simply a choice you can make. So is fear. Choose love. That is who you are. Love is all that matters. Love is all there is.

In this hilarious video, there are a bunch of “old coots” (as they call themselves) having lots of fun. Plus, they’re helping many folks along the way. If you’re going to live a few hundred years, this is the way to do it.

In the early 1980s, John took a spiritual development course and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.
Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.” Source
