I try my best to be optimistic. But not the fake kind—the kind that bypasses pain or glosses over hard truths with glitter and sage smoke.

No, I mean the optimism that holds grief in one hand and gratitude in the other. The kind that knows staying in a higher frequency isn’t about denying the storm—it’s about becoming the calm within it.

Yes, I believe in energy. I believe in frequency. I believe that what we emit shapes what we receive. But no amount of chakra clearing, palo santo burning, or third-eye tapping will clear the residue of chaos if your mind isn’t shifting too. Your thoughts create ripples. Your emotions give them power. Your actions anchor them into this realm.

And even when your intention is pure—to stay in the “light,” to hold space, to love—it doesn’t make you immune to being human. Your programming will try to override it. Again and again. Because that’s what programs do. Whether it’s the patriarchy, capitalism, colonized spirituality, generational trauma, or the “good vibes only” movement dressed in tie-dye and patchouli—it’s still a program until you dismantle it.

And yes, I know… Mercury’s retrograde, the solar flares are wild, the veil is thinning, and the Schumann resonance is popping off. I feel it too. But I also know this: I don’t get to hand over the keys of accountability to the cosmos. I can’t keep blaming bad behavior on moon phases and mood swings from Mars. Spirituality is not an excuse—it’s a responsibility. And discernment is holy.

On my 46th birthday, I got a tattoo across my back—two dragonflies creating a heart with the word “Life” in the center. I got it after being in a hospital bed, teetering on the edge of this world and the next. I don’t know if I touched the other side or if my brain was oxygen-starved and playing tricks. And honestly? It doesn’t matter. Because what it gave me was clarity.

Clarity that life is fragile. That belief is powerful. That we are all making meaning in our own way.

This isn’t a post to tell you what to believe. It’s a gentle, fiery reminder that whatever you believe in—believe in it with your whole soul. Let it be yours. Let it evolve. Let it guide you into deeper truth, not further denial. Whether it’s your politics, your prayers, your pendulum, or your pain—own it.

Because when you believe fully, you begin to shape a new reality. Not one rooted in fear, blame, or illusion—but one grounded in choice, love, and radical personal truth.

And that’s the frequency that changes everything.

Stay in your truth. Especially when it wavers. Especially when it’s messy. That’s when it’s real.
