Last week, I boxed up all my spiritual books and donated them to a local bookstore. This morning I pulled out a shelf full of journals, shredded them without any need to re-read them, and added them to my compost bin.

Moving the books out was easy. They had accumulated a layer of dust because it’s been a long time since I’ve cracked any of them open. My spiritual growth has been expanding so rapidly I haven’t had the desire to look back. Indeed, I am grateful for all the spiritual teachings that have supported me along the way, but I now realize my own Inner Wisdom is far more valuable than anything I could read in a book.

Shredding the journals was far more difficult. I’m a prolific writer and have always had an open journal resting on my bedside table. Writing has been how I ground or integrate my thoughts, feelings, and new realizations, as well as distilling my own Wisdom. And for years, publishing books has been my way of being in service by sharing what I have learned along the way. So shredding the journals felt like composting parts of myself that no longer exist.

And now. . . .

I am living in “Presence”.

By living in Presence, life flows from my inner Knowing. Wisdom distilled by my Soul from all my life experiences. Wisdom that supersedes everything else. Wisdom available in the moment. Therefore, I no longer feel the need to document or accumulate anything because it’s immediately available, right here, right now, in the moment.

And on those occasions when I unconsciously wander off, one deep breath is all it takes to return to Presence.

In Presence, where infinite new potentials abound.

In Presence, where New Creation awaits, fine-tuned especially for me!!!
