This last part of the series on Love and Marriage talks about the topic of soul mates. William LePar’s spiritual source, The Council, says that marriage between two soul mates is not only possible but likely.

Questioner:  My question is regarding soul mates and it is in three parts. First, are there soul mates?  What are they?  And are they more perfectly compatible for marriage?

The Council:  Well, there are a lot of ideas as to what soul mates are. These are the facts.  Soul mates are entities who have manifested in many lifetimes together and have worked on common problems in common solutions.  Now, you can have more than one soul mate, and a soul mate does not mean that you have a super strong bond with that individual, that if you come in as a soul mate that you will marry that individual, no.  A soul mate is simply someone that you have worked with through many lifetimes on specific problems.  It is compared to a very close friend that you might have.  Now, this does not mean that soul mates cannot make a spiritual agreement or commitment or contract and say, "We shall be married."  That is a possibility, and oftentimes that does happen, many more than just often, shall we say.  But, in the same situation, many, many, many times they will come in as parent and child, brother and sister, brother and brother, sister and sister.  Do you understand?

Q:  Yes.

C:  It would have a positive influence if they came in as husband and wife or came into a situation where there was a spiritual commitment of marriage or spiritual contract of marriage.  They would have a less challenging situation to face in most cases, but this still would not insure or guarantee success.  Do you understand?

Q:  I think so.

C:  Does that answer all of your questions?

Q:  Yes, I believe it does.

C:  There is no permanent tie.  Permanent in the sense that it can never be dissolved when it comes to soul mates.  It is not something that once you are a soul mate for all of creation.  In most cases, all those entities in the material manifestation now are, what we have said jokingly but yet very seriously in the past, as Johnny-come-latelys.  They are the old souls.  They are the ones that could not make it.  They are still hanging around in the material manifestation.  They are still chasing their tails.  Now, you all would have had many soul mates, where some who have come through the material manifestation before man's recorded history would have considerably a less number of soul mates.  Do you understand?
