Anxiety and the variety of symptoms that come with it can be some of the most debilitating things to have to deal with. Not to mention, anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States today, affecting close to 20 percent of the population.
That’s a pretty crazy figure, as it means that about 1 out of every 5 people suffers from some form of anxiety.
If you suffer from chronic anxiety or know of a loved one that does, then you know just how awful it can truly be. Luckily, anxiety is treatable and there are a variety of different options, including ones outside of pharmaceuticals.
One treatment option that you can do yourself at home is lavender lemonade. Not only does this tasty drink help ease the pangs of anxiety, but it also helps soothe any headaches you might be having.
Lavender oil is often kept around households that practice healing methods, as it has over 150 active constituents making up its complex chemical structure.
Lavender oil exudes health with its anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antipasmodic, and hypotensive properties.
The recipe to make your own lavender lemonade is fairly simple:
- 1 cup of raw honey
- 12 cups of pure water
- 1 drop of lavender essential oil
- 6 lemons, peeled and then juiced
- Lavender sprigs
Mix all of your ingredients together and then place in the refrigerator to chill. More water or honey can be added to perfect the taste.
ॐ Namasté - Blessings!
