- Uranus in Taurus Trigger Points 2021-2022 -

Today we explore points in time when Uranian energies will be most intense, and therefore when major global events may happen.

Just as some people will be more affected than others, some nations will be more impacted by transiting semi-squares, squares, sesquisquares, and oppositions to Uranus. Neptune, Pluto, and TransPluto also, but those are beyond the scope of this article. Any of these aspects made to or from Uranus will last a long time, and we’ve been dealing with the square from Saturn for many months already, with many months left to go

These squares are heavily impacts all sectors of the fixed signs, since the first square in February was from 8 Aquarius to 8 Taurus, the second square in June was from 14 Aquarius to 14 Taurus, the third square in December will be from 12 Aquarius to 12 Taurus. The only time this square is not really in play this year is in September and October when they’re not really in orb of a square.

Though they will be out of orb by February, by late August 2022 they’re back in close square. Though it never becomes exact, it stays within a degree of exact between mid-September and late October, with the “hot zone” between 16-21 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. There will be very powerful effects generated in early November, as Venus, Mercury, and the Sun all make T-squares opposing Uranus and squaring Saturn, throwing the voids into Leo.

As I offered you in May 2018, the square between Saturn and Uranus has been and will put pressure on any planets we may have in the first half of any of the fixed signs, and certainly will put more pressure on the 16-21 degree sectors in late 2022. The 2021 squares also creates semisquares and sesquisquares around 26-30 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sag, and Pisces, as well as the first two degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.

All of these hard angles represent the powerful upheavals, revolutions, and individualizing experiences spurring us all on to our genius, and our unique purpose for being on Earth. It’s obvious that we’ll all be impacted in profound ways, since very few charts don't have at least one planet somewhere in the middle degrees of the Fixed signs and the late degrees of the Mutable signs.

These squares continue to bring about major transformations in our world and the way we relate to everything and each other! While some disruptions have been severe, shattering many old norms and forms forever, we are also seeing major innovations and discoveries which have shaken the old world paradigm in profound ways.

As I offered you 10 years ago on Uranus’ entry into Aries, “By the end of this period we shall have a new history, a new science, a new philosophy, a new mythos, and a new vision of the promise of human possibility. We shall understand the Cosmic Laws of Economy of Energy, Magnetic Attraction, and Synthesis from an entirely different angle of approach than now, and find a new way to achieve inner and outer cooperation based in a shared vision with others who share our Soul ideal.”

Looking back on the past decade, I’d say a lot of this is absolutely true! We’ve had archeological discoveries that push back human evolution many hundreds of thousands of years, showing we’ve been evolved far longer than we believed. Many Aries seeds were awakened by Uranus, including new economics (such as Uber, Air BnB, and other “shared resource” industries), new understanding of our global interconnectedness, AND the rapid evolution of social media among students and Masters in the three great Spiritual Schools of Art, Science, and “Philosophy.”

All who aspire to greater Self-realization have access to instantaneous communications between others, both more and less advanced, in all the Schools (Artists, Scientists, and "Philosophers"). All of us together now have a tighter connection with others in our schools, as well as other schools, which would seem to prove that we are truly a global Spiritual Interconnected Awareness. Right now, across the world, there are more of us aware of our One Life together than ever before, and we even have means to connect and confirm our participation in "the initiation of the world."

As I told you in 2018, “Uranus in Taurus will secure and establish these seeds of revolution and progress over the next 7 years, before they are transmuted into mind and understanding when Uranus enters Gemini. Again, these will vary with each individual person, city, state, and nation.” Naturally there will be some points when the generic tension will be most challenging, and these are what follows.

Uranian Aspects in 2021-2022

Besides the ongoing square from Saturn and various T-squares made this year from transits in Leo and Scorpio, as well as the latter degrees of Virgo and Sagittarius, Uranus will also make aspects and be aspected in other ways. All aspects to Uranus in some way involve generic times of upheaval, radical change, breakthroughs, and unexpected forces beyond individual control pre-empting the playing field.

Remember too that just because Uranus makes a hard aspect to any one planet, whether in your chart or transit to transit, is not indicator of doom or gloom, since it no doubt also makes other aspects that indicate mitigating circumstances or even unexpected fortuitous events. We can use the energy of the “Divine Awakener” as our personality planets are trained to do; there is no transit which automatically spells failure or a lack of an ability to respond constructively to any event.

The Outer Planet Dance

As you already know from the Lunation articles, Uranus is dancing in septile with Neptune for the rest of 2021 and all of 2022, indicating a septile-series driven irrationality between the Divine Awakener and the Divine Unifier. As I’ve explained, that’s generating a new iteration of “The Grand Irrationality” putting more pressure on all of us to choose carefully during this global “fork in the road of destiny.” I’ve given you the 7 zones where this evolutionary configuration is most active in the Lunation articles.

We also have Uranus in a serendipitous tredecile with Pluto through December, showing a very favorable specializing field of energy which brings gifts perfect for our circumstances, and circumstances perfect for our unique gifts. This gives way to another biseptile in early 2022, and then returns to a tredecile by Spring which lasts into 2023. This tredecile is extraordinarily favorable for people with planets or points near 1-3 Virgo/Pisces, 5-9 Libra/Aries, 11-15 Scorpio/Taurus, 17-21 Sagittarius/Gemini, 23-27 Capricorn/Cancer, and 29-30 Aquarius/Leo (as you can see, Jupiter joins this serendipity in August and December 2021!

As mentioned earlier in this series, Saturn squares Uranus several times in 2021, and by late February 2022 is in a binovile with Uranus through late June. By July they again approach the square which is in play through mid-December 2022. By January-February 2023 they’re back in a binovile, and then move into a specializing quintile by March when Saturn enters Pisces.

Jupiter made its conjunction with Saturn in December 2020, so they won’t make any significant aspects until February 2022 when they make a quindecile (24d). By April they’re in a semi-sextile, and by May a decile (36d). Jupiter makes a novile in June, going stationary retrograde in July in semi-square which lasts through late September 2022. By mid-October Jupiter is again novile Saturn, lasting through February 2023.

Mars-Uranus Aspects

Mars occupies Virgo in August and early September 2021. August begins with Mars tredecile Uranus, then extends into a trine for the rest of August. By mid-September Mars sesquisquares Uranus as it enters Libra. By late September Mars is biquintile Uranus, and makes the quincunx in early October and the triseptile during the second week of October. The third week of October sees Mars quadranovile Uranus, and after that there are no aspects from Mars to Uranus until their opposition in mid-November.

Mid-December sees Mars making the waning quadranovile, the December Solstice brings the waning triseptile, and the end of December brings the quincunx. January 2022 shows Mars biquintile and then sesquisquare Uranus, February shows Mars trine and then tredecile Uranus, March brings the biseptile and then the square.

April brings the binovile and then the quintile, May brings the sextile, septile, and semi-square, June brings the novile, decile, semi-sextile, and quindecile, with no more significant aspects until the next Mars conjunct Uranus at 19 Taurus in early August, setting a new cycle into motion and ending the one which began at 7 Taurus when they conjuncted in January 2021. Mars then makes a waxing quindecile, semisextile, and then decile before it goes retrograde at 26 Gemini in October 2022.

So we’re not quite at the mid-point of the Mars-Uranus cycle which began in January, so will still be within the themes of 7 Taurus until they next conjunct in August 2022, setting the themes of 19 Taurus into motion. All of these cycles are revolutionizing how we view matter, resources, and how we use them “to attack the problems of life in innovative ways.” I’ll be writing more about the coming review during Uranus’ retrograde period which begins in about 2 weeks.
