You Are a Born Peacemaker on Earth

It's not easy to stay loving when you are standing between
two sides full of anger and hate for each other. But you must.

Hello to all my beautiful friends. I am praying for you all, always.

I once knew a family with many children. Two of the boys were constantly at loggerheads with each other. They were teenagers and always left school early in the day, and neither boy had work due to the difficult economic situation at the time.

The boys were living at home and felt inadequate and useless, arguments frequently breaking out between them, always running each other down. Sometimes the arguments were verbal, and other times they even hit each other.

Eventually they had a very terrible argument, and one of the boys ran away. His mother and sisters went looking for him. They were extremely worried about where he might be and what he might do to himself and others, in his pain and desperation. They were so concerned that they got the local police involved.

At four o'clock in the morning, after many hours of frantically searching, they found the boy and brought him home. His brother was so relieved to see him; he had been so terrified of what might happen as a result of their argument, terrified that he might actually lose his brother.

The boys made their peace. Love conquered hate, for a while.

I know these brothers will fight again. I pray that the example of love their mother and sisters showed them by searching for the lost brother for so long will help to grow the love that is between all of them. I know they are good boys, and the angels have told me that they are both trying not to let hate in, not to give in to the frustration they are feeling.

Angels help to ensure that, where possible, love conquers hate. They provide opportunities for us to choose love, again and again, but most of the time we just pass them by.

The angels need our help at times. We are all called upon to be peacemakers, and it is important for us to say yes and take these opportunities to stand up, be counted, and play our part. We must always remember that we are called upon to make peace, to not take sides.

This is not an easy job. It's not easy to stay loving when you are standing between two sides that are full of anger and hate for each other. But you must.
