Eclipse Season is Self-Care Season

✨ Eclipses have a way of bringing up all sort of deep secrets, buried feelings and subliminal tensions, out into the open. The atmosphere is extra-charged at this time; we’re feeling it through or bodies, in our systems, in the air around us, even to the point of energetical and sensory overload. It’s definitely intense and it may even get overwhelming for the more sensitive and empathic folxs among us (take it from someone who spent last evening ugly-crying on her sofa. Like, straight up bawling).
✨ We’re currently in-between eclipses, namely the Capricorn New Moon of December 26, an annular solar eclipse, and the upcoming Cancer Full Moon on January 10; it’s safe to say that we’re going to have to deal with the pressure and overstimulation for at least two more weeks. It takes time for our tears to flush out actual and metaphorical toxins: frustration, painful memories stored in the body, repressed anger. It may feel like an exorcism, but truly, that’s “just” the deep healing work we were cosmically scheduled to do at this time. And it deserves to be recognized, respected, heard, felt and seen.
✨ It deserves its own timeline, its own space. We deserve to work through this emotional turmoil at our own pace, however and wherever it’s most comfortable for us. We deserve our own compassion as we get through these shifts, these highs, these lows.
✨ Up your self-love regimen. Do whatever helps you de-compress, be it singing your heart out, spending time in the woods to feel cradled by the presence of the Goddess, having sex with your partner[s] or with yourself, chanting, meditating, doing ritual baths. Don’t be afraid to communicate with your loved ones and let yourself be raw and vulnerable in their presence. Or to prioritize your well-being and avoid any interaction that may increase your stress levels. Eclipse season is about self-care, too: it’s vital to hold space for the feelings that are emerging, to sit with them and to let them go.

To me, Astrology is personal, spiritual, political and magickal at once, and it should be used to uplift, empower and clarify. This is what I do with my clients.
I'm an Astrologer based in Italy, with a MA in Cultural Anthropology and a passion for music, Nature and Art. I'm the founder and curator of Zodiac Poetry Astrology (formerly Aeternalight Astrology). I also work as a translator and editor in the publishing industry. I've been studying astrology, Tarot and metaphysics since 2009.
