Weekly Musings, Episode Six

Weekly Musings, Episode Six

First the Fire, then Water, Earth and Air.

Old wounds flaring up, rage roiling in the depths, echoes of ancestral hurt that ricochet through our minds… You may or may not be aware that Chiron is stationing Retrograde today, in conjunction with Mars and the Moon, in the sign of Aries, but you are probably feeling it. Click here for the long forecast.

To add up to this emotional storm, Mercury will station Direct in Cancer, Sunday July 12. Not only that, but, the next day, Monday, July 13, the Aries Moon also squares the Cancer Sun and moves on to square Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn. If this energy is like fuel to fire, then we might want to be watchful and mindful of what is burning. Is it us? On the verge of blowing up into a million pieces, perhaps? Is it the debris that stands in our way? Fire is both medicine and poison. Can we learn to dance with the flames?

Later, shortly before midnight, the Moon enters the sign of Taurus.

Tuesday, July 14, the Taurus Moon offers us the possibility to turn our inner focus towards the things that make us feel  grounded and anchored, just in time for the Sun in Cancer to challenge the stern triad of planets currently in Capricorn. The Sun is Spirit. The Sun is intellect. The Sun illuminates, highlights, reveals. As the Sun opposes Jupiter first, on Wednesday 15, and then Pluto on Thursday 16, an essential piece of truth about who or what is really in charge of our emotional state might be exposed.

On the same day, the Moon leaves Taurus for Gemini and it’s literally a breath of fresh air. The vibe becomes alert, changeable, conductive to the exchange of ideas and information. Whatever realization the week has brought into our hearts, we can talk about it and talk it out. We’re no longer anchored to the soil, weighed down by our feelings. We can float until we grasp the aerial view.

On Friday 17, the Moon and Venus blend together in Gemini — a love letter from the cosmos, sealed with a kiss. This airy, honeyed conjunction doesn’t last for more than a few hours, but it carries the promise of pleasure — of a sweetness that washes bitterness away.

The card I have pulled for the upcoming week is the Three of Wands.

With Mercury stationing direct, it’s time to collect all the information that is floating to the surface to reimagine our future. The Wands signify fire, passion, momentum — yet what this card depicts is barely a tear in the veils of uncertainty. We might not be ready to step on the other side just yet, but at least we can try to glance straight through it and see what's ahead.

I hope you have enjoyed this forecast. See you next Saturday!
Love,
Cristina
