Conflict Preparing Us for the Extraordinary Conflicts of 2021

On Saturday, I gave my “Predictions for 2020” presentation at the Arizona Society of Astrologers meeting. Because there’s so much material, I promised the group I would post my notes on the talk here at the Aquarius Papers. Today is the middle part of the talk, where we go into the conflicts of 2020 and 2021 and crucial points this year which will help us anticipate the chaos and at times anarchy coming this year and next due to powerful squares from Aries to Capricorn and Aquarius to Taurus. We’re sailing into turbulent waters!

2020 Sets Up the Conflicts of 2021

If you’ve been reading my articles at The Aquarius Papers, you know the entire world has been living within two extraordinarily powerful configurations which get triggered numerous times each year. One is the Grand Irrationality. This involves septile series aspects made to Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto on a regular basis, and drives the sense of “things don’t make sense” and “this is irrational.”

All 9th harmonic aspects, the septile, biseptile, and triseptile, indicates points of choices and changes at “forks in the road of destiny” for each of us. You can find a lot more about this long wave evolutionary configuration and the specific affected zones in the New and Full Moon articles on my website. (At this point, because it’s not a talk, I’ll remind you the zones in coming months are around 21-26 Capricorn, 12-17 Pisces, 3-8 Taurus, 25-29 Gemini, 17-21 Leo, 9-13 Libra, and 30 Scorpio-5 Sagittarius

The other configuration is what I’ve called “the Rhombus Diamond” anchored by Uranus semisquare Neptune. Except for a few weeks here and there when they’re not in orb, we’ve been dealing with this “cutting, grinding, and polishing” energy since the Summer of 2016 when it first formed, and has been fairly constant since May 2017.

This Summer will be the first period in a long time when they won’t be in semisquare, even though they will be in semisquare again this time next year. These off-again, on-again aspects continue to generate a lot of friction “polishing us to perfection” wherever we have 15-21 Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, as well as 1-5 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.

The Conflict Ahead – Saturn Square Uranus

Which brings us to the huge conflict ahead of us. Saturn is no longer biseptile Uranus and is now headed for its square to Uranus. However, Jupiter will biseptile Uranus three times this year, bringing the initial Saturn biseptile Uranus structures into clear view.

The first biseptile in March will be amped up and sent into high motion by Mars in late March. That means the crucial developments of 2019 will be brought into manifestation by Jupiter in March, with various “pulses of manifestation” appearing each time an inner planet transits the 7 affected zones mentioned earlier.

This year, because of Jupiter’s dance, all these Capricorn energies are being put into play at the same time the coming Mars conjunct Saturn at 1 Aquarius begins generating the extreme friction of planets in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. The major squares of 2021 between Jupiter and Saturn both square Uranus in January will be set into anticipatory motion at the end of March and early April when Mars conjuncts Saturn at 1 Aquarius and then squares Uranus at 6 Taurus. This crucial point in Cosmic Time initiates the pulses of the coming Aquarian Grand Mutation which also happens next December at 1 Aquarius.

January 2021 – Conflict Like We’ve Never Seen

Remember we have another compression coming in January 2021. It is most focused between Jan 11 and Jan 28. However, in 2021 the compression will feature the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn all in early Aquarius, indicating another “crowded house” but in Aquarius rather than Capricorn!

The tension kicks off during the second week of January when Mercury in Aquarius squares Mars at 1 Taurus, conjuncts Saturn at 3 Aquarius and Jupiter at 5 Aquarius, and squares Uranus at 7 Taurus. Then Mars squares Saturn on January 12, with the effect lasting about 2 weeks. Also at that time Uranus is going stationary direct, indicating major sea changes for the world and setting a new tide related to “a new quality of being rendering the old patterns obsolete.”

Inauguration Day is Jan 20, 2021. On that day there is a Mars conjunct Uranus at 7 Taurus, with both square Jupiter and Saturn at 8 and 4 Aquarius respectively. That night and the next day the Moon conjuncts both Mars and Uranus at 7 Taurus, with all exactly square Jupiter at 8 Aquarius. This will be the eruption of a very difficult period, with equally fixed forces in dynamic conflict!

Also, on Inauguration Day and throughout the January 2021 Compression, Pluto is at 25 Capricorn, the exact degree of 2 of the Jupiter Pluto conjunctions this year. That lets us know whatever expands or launches in early April and the end of June play a major part in the profound changes to come in January 2021.

At times it will seem anarchic, since Mars is activating two different conflicts in a 6 month period. One budding conflict is in late Cardinal signs happening August through December; the other is in early Fixed signs happening in April 2020 setting the stage for the extreme conflict of January 2021. I expect this year to be dominated by conflict between regressives and progressives.

Because the 2021 Aquarius/Taurus squares are activated in April 2020, that’s when the new Aquarian ideal will come into dynamic expression as “the new quality of life rendering the old patterns obsolete” awakened last Summer. However, after Jupiter and Saturn enter Aquarius and Mars enters Taurus next January, we’ll see how stubborn forces of regression will be in conflict with the Aquarian themes of healing, vision, seeing the future clearly, and the greatest good for the greatest number. There will be tremendous conflict from the increased pressure.

You will see elements of this coming inaugural conflict as the planets transit early Aquarius and square Uranus in January 18-24 2020 and April 5-12. This talk is happening January 18, with Mercury is in early Aquarius just separating from its square to Uranus. So in this talk you’re getting a Mercurial signal about what’s coming. Coincidentally, I have Mercury exactly conjunct my MC which has often had me “speaking for Mercury” throughout my life.

[On a side note, as I didn’t mention this in the talk, during the 48 hours before this talk, Mercury entered Aquarius and the Moon in Libra squared Saturn and Pluto. This was immediately followed by Mercury square Uranus and the Moon in Scorpio opposed Uranus making a T-square with Mercury. During this short window in time a major neonazi group was busted while planning to commit violence hoping to launch a “race war.” We also saw extreme weather conditions, as per Mercury in an Air sign creating turbulence. So besides the clash between violent extremists on the right wing and everyone else, we can also anticipate more extreme weather conditions challenging everyone.]

Also take note when planets in Taurus conjunct Uranus near the Inaugural zones the second week of March, last week of April, and first two days of May 2020. The solutions to the square tensions set into motion in April and agitated throughout the year will require productive Leo and Scorpio responses to turn the friction to integrative power. So do whatever you must to cultivate productive Leo and Scorpio responses during the Summer and Autumn when the inner planets transit these signs.

To sum it up, 2020 is a year of reaping rewards as a new quality of life opens up. We’re all preparing for a new era which will be initiated in April, and spring to life in 2021. Despite the conflicts to come, we are on the threshold of a new 20 year Aquarian era, and a new 200 year era where we leave Earth behind and move into a long term global growth into Air energy. Become the best Aquarian qualities and virtues you can, and you’ll be a grounding agent for the new Era on the way.
