If someone had asked me years ago whether spiritual awakening followed a specific sequence—like the structured unfolding of chakras—I might have said yes that there is an order, a divine roadmap leading us home.

But after years of experiencing, unraveling, and guiding others through their own awakening, I’ve come to understand something far more intricate, fluid, and deeply personal:

Awakening is not a straight path. It is a spiral.

It does not unfold in rigid steps but in waves, cycles, and patterns, often repeating until the soul is ready to fully integrate the lessons. Yet, in this divine chaos, there are certain themes and phases that many of us walk through. So while it may not be as structured as the ascent through chakras, there is a natural rhythm—a progression of energies that expand us, break us open, and ultimately return us to ourselves.

Here is what I have observed, lived, and learned:

1. The Call (Root Chakra Activation – Safety & Foundations Shaken)

For most, awakening begins with discomfort. A whisper that something is “off.” A pull toward something more, even if we don’t know what it is. Sometimes, this call is gentle—an increasing fascination with spiritual topics, a yearning for deeper purpose. Other times, it arrives as a thunderstorm—trauma, heartbreak, illness, or loss that rips us from our comfort zones and forces us to question everything.

For me, it felt like a slow-burning frustration—a sense that the life I was living was a mere shadow of something greater. Then, when I least expected it, the real “call” came in the form of energetic downloads, visions, and encounters that shattered my previous understanding of reality. The old world collapsed, and I had no choice but to start again.

This phase destabilizes us on a root chakra level. The foundations we built our identity upon begin to crack and dissolve. The things that once felt safe—relationships, careers, belief systems—no longer resonate. And this is terrifying.

But this is the initiation. This is the beginning of remembering.

2. The Dark Night (Sacral & Solar Plexus – The Dissolution of Identity)

Once the awakening begins, it often brings us to the void—the great unknown. This is where the ego, the false self, begins to unravel.

Here, everything we thought we were—our roles, labels, beliefs—is stripped away. It can feel like a free fall into nothingness, and yet, within this nothingness, we begin to sense a flicker of truth. A deeper knowing arises I am not who I thought I was.

For me, this phase came with immense disbelief. Could it finally be happening? As scarry as it seemed I was finally being given the green light to awaken to my true self! I felt fear and resistance and yet at the same time —a rising fire within me. A hunger to reclaim my truth, to remember why I came here in the first place.

This is the Sacral and Solar Plexus shift—a redefinition of identity, a release of old emotional wounds, a reclaiming of personal power. Here, we confront our shadows, ancestral pain, and past-life karma. We are forced to look at the parts of ourselves we’ve buried, and we are given the chance to integrate, transmute, and step into a new embodiment of self.

3. The Heart Opens (Heart Chakra – Divine Love Awakens)

Then, one day, something shifts. We crack open.

A moment of pure connection floods through—perhaps during meditation, an encounter with a soul who feels like home, a synchronicity so undeniable it reconfigures reality in an instant. The walls around the heart begin to dissolve, and for the first time, we see the sacred in all things.

For me, this was the moment I met my Higher Self—a presence so vast, familiar, and filled with unconditional love that I wept for hours. She was me, and I was her, across all time, space, and dimensions. And in that moment, I knew that everything—the pain, the loss, the searching—had led me here.

This phase is the activation of the Heart Chakra, where we begin to operate from unity consciousness instead of separation. Love is no longer something we seek outside of ourselves—it becomes the fabric of our existence.

But this opening also comes with responsibility. Because when we truly see through the eyes of the heart, we can no longer look away. We feel the suffering of the world. We understand the collective pain. And so, many who reach this stage are called to serve, to guide, to heal.

4. The Awakening of Truth (Throat & Third Eye – Higher Perception)

After the heart opens, clarity follows. The illusions of the matrix become obvious. We see beyond the veils, beyond the conditioning, beyond the narratives designed to keep humanity asleep.

This is where the Throat and Third Eye Chakras activate, aligning us with our voice, our intuition, and our ability to channel divine wisdom.

For me, this was when I could no longer suppress my truth. The knowledge that had been quietly stirring within me demanded expression. Words flowed through me that I had never consciously learned. I could no longer participate in the old systems, the falsehoods.

Many who reach this stage feel compelled to:

• Share spiritual insights (teaching, writing, channeling).
• Align with their true soul mission (leaving old jobs, creating new paths).
• Break free from limiting structures (relationships, societal expectations).

At this stage, the voice is no longer driven by fear or ego, but by divine truth. We become a vessel for higher knowledge, no longer bound by what the world tells us is real.

5. The Integration (Crown & Beyond – Becoming the Bridge)

And then, the final phase—the one that never truly ends.

The Crown Chakra opens, and we begin to experience ourselves not just as human, but as cosmic, infinite, multidimensional. We understand that awakening is not a destination but a continual expansion.

For me, this is where the paradox revealed itself. The goal was never to “escape” the human experience, but to fully embody it. To become the bridge between heaven and earth.

At this stage, we no longer seek ascension away from this world—we seek to bring heaven here. To integrate all that we’ve learned into the physical, into our daily lives. This is where we become conduits, not just for ourselves, but for humanity.

So, Is There an Order?

Yes and no.

There are themes and activations, much like the chakras, that tend to unfold in patterns. But the journey is unique for everyone. Some may awaken through the crown first, receiving divine downloads before their root chakra is shaken. Others may start with ego dissolution, spending years in the void before the heart fully opens.

But one thing is certain: awakening is not about reaching some final enlightened state. It is a constant unfolding, a continual remembering.

Wherever you are in this journey, trust that you are exactly where you need to be. The initiations, the challenges, the breakthroughs—they are all orchestrated with divine precision.

And the more you surrender, the more you will see:

You were never lost. You were always waking up.
