You have to forgive yourself to be free.

Hello to all my beautiful friends. I am praying for you all, always.

I know sometimes forgiveness is something that's very hard, because we either have been hurt or we have hurt someone else. Yet, if we don't forgive, it tears us apart. It makes us bitter and angry, and it even stops us from being friends and connecting with other people and nature.

Not forgiving stops you from living your life. It stops you from being you, the wonderful and incredible person that you are. It tears your heart and mind apart.

Forgive Yourself First

We all have to forgive each other. And it's even more important to forgive yourself, because you have to forgive yourself in order to allow yourself to be free.

This is essential for each and every one of us. To forgive ourselves first, so we can be free and stop holding onto anger and hate. In forgiving yourself, you also forgive everyone else around you.

Prayer for Forgiveness of Those Who Have Hurt Me

Dear God,
Please forgive those who have hurt me,
Because I forgive them.
Amen

This is a prayer I have said every day since I was a child. You might be wondering why I would need to say this prayer — it is because God has asked me to do so.

It may be a short prayer, but it is a very powerful one. It opens your heart so that you can send love to the person who has hurt you, helping you to forgive. As you forgive, you are also asking God to forgive them. You are choosing to end the cycle of revenge.

The Power of Forgiveness

The most important thing to realize is that you have the power inside of you to decide to forgive. Deciding to forgive releases some of that hurt inside of you. Over time, you will notice that you're not hurting as much anymore.

You are this beautiful human being that God has created. You have a soul, that spark of light of God within you. You are pure love. So, forgive and reach out. Free yourself. Allow yourself to love and be loved.
