Sun Opposed Pluto

This is a “full phase” head on standoff between the Sun and Pluto which provides extraordinary transformational tension!
In the recent article on Mercury opposed Pluto, I gave you a few ways that it was extremely destructive last year when our area was hit by a microburst of phenomenally fast winds and rain, like a mini-hurricane where the winds were so destructive they uprooted dozens of fully grown trees all around the area where we live, including the 30 foot Palo Verde in our neighbor’s yard. In that article I offered a few insights about shallow root systems being unable to stand against high winds.
While I gave it to you then, I’ll remind you today of a great truth; much of life isn’t about how high we grow, but about how deep our “spiritual taproot” is. While we often aspire to great thoughts and deeds, larger than life “spiritual breakthroughs” which take us to the heights of consciousness, it’s more important to sink deep spiritual roots as a foundation for our life and growth. That way we’re not toppled by the insanely fast winds of devastating change when they come to us.
With the Sun opposed Pluto these next few days, be careful! Use the trine to Neptune to anticipate what might happen, ride through the uncertainty of the exact opposition, and welcome the quintile to Uranus in play once the Sun enters Leo. Generally, Sun opposed Pluto is a time to sense deep power available to bring Light and Life to something hidden, or something which needs purification and/or transformation.
Part of this great power is the availability of deepest concentration and an unshakeable self discipline which can provide the confidence to move forward even if the chaos of a storm swirls all around us! The favorable trine to Neptune yields very productive voids in late Virgo, so pay attention to details, educate or be educated on an individual or spiritual level, and be willing to concentrate to “escape from a narrow destiny” by rising to some occasion.
The opposition with a trine to Neptune favors any planets or points we have in the late degrees of Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces (though care must be taken by those with planets or points in the late degrees of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries!) Stay focused, and use your concentration to see the larger Mystery Ritual you’re participating in whether you understand it or not. The stress leads to linkage, and the losses of the moment will ultimately lead us to spiritual blessings. And every death is an omen of rebirth.
