February 2026 Card: Zeta Reticuli Mirror Reflection
Written by Lyssa Royal

February’s guidance invites you to reflect deeply in the mirror of your soul and embrace your authentic self without judgment. ~AndEl
Card #99 | Zeta Reticuli (Future) | Mirror Reflection
The last time this card appeared was in October 2023. We focused the guidance at that time on the idea that each of you is like a shard of the same mirror and that a civilization transforms when it recognizes this truth. While that idea is still accurate, we are taking a slightly different trajectory for this month’s guidance.
The Importance of Mirror Reflection
The theme of “mirror reflection” is an important one to work with at this perilous time on Earth. Specifically, we are referring to the ability of each person to learn to accurately see their own reflection. This is difficult in physical reality. As you see on your world, a man or woman with great beauty can still look in the mirror and see their flaws, or the parts that they loathe within themselves. This distortion is usually based on inner wounds – traumas that may have happened in this life or others. These wounds distort your view of yourself. As you commit to a journey of self-love, this distortion lessens and the wounds begin to heal. The result isn’t that you then look in a mirror and become infatuated with yourself, which many fear when doing self-love work. The healthy result is that you look in the mirror, see yourself authentically, and hold no judgment or polarized view of yourself. What you see is accurate, and your emotional response is neutral. You embrace yourself as you are.
But let’s look at the opposite end of the spectrum. There are those in your world who perform heartless, corrupt, or hurtful actions towards others. What do they see when they look in the metaphorical mirror? For them, the ego protects them from seeing the truth, because their wounds are too painful to approach. The image they see (if they even allow themselves to look) is distorted to make them look more powerful and unapproachable – a reflection of the shield they use to protect themselves from their painful wounds. Their sense of self becomes so warped that a type of automatic self-generating protection mechanism activates for the purpose of strengthening the shield around them. This perpetuates the cycle. As the distortion grows, the cruelty they inflict must grow proportionately because it is the fuel used to keep the protection intact. Eventually, they have so many layers of protection that they can’t see or feel true emotions any longer. The main drive becomes protecting themselves from pain – so the cruelty continues.
Awakening Through Clear Self-Reflection
The awakening process includes this essential aspect of learning to see yourself clearly in the metaphorical mirror. That means seeing yourself from both ends of the spectrum and everything in between. The journey of awakening forces you to come face-to-face with feelings of lack and low self-worth. It also forces you to face the armor of protection that you wear and, at the far end of the spectrum, how you treat others in response to your own inner pain. As you say in English, “Yikes.” It can be a painful road, but one that is ultimately illuminating and profoundly healing.
As you look around the world, you are seeing these two ends of the spectrum playing out. Those who are mired in their pain and see no way out (except through actions like suicide), and those who are in such denial of their pain that their behavior patterns continually inflict harm to others – sometimes to the point of gleeful boasting about their actions. Somewhere, in the middle, is the balance point at which the awakening person learns to accept and embrace their inner demons and breaks through to clear-seeing and respect for others and themselves. The awakening journey forces this inner alchemy of polarity, and this is why you are seeing such intensity in the world today.
Practical Guidance for February
Knowing this, we trust you can see how important it is to learn to see clearly in the metaphorical mirror of reality. This is why we always strongly recommend practices of nonjudgmental self-observation as a way to know your deep inner self. As you cultivate this practice, either through meditation, contemplation or journaling, you begin to “clean the mirror” in a sense. Over time, this weakens the distortion capability of your consciousness so you can see yourself as you are – with no shame, no judgment, no denial. Conversely, it also assists you to see yourself as the glorious, light-filled being that you truly are.
