One of my favorite things to do is to think about the simple things that make me happy.

A lot of times we think we need to have things be perfect in order to be happy. We think we need a lot of nice material possessions, or exciting travel, or the perfect body, in order to be happy.

But I believe we can find happiness in any moment. And for me, there are some simple things that give me a bit of joy:

• A quiet moment in the morning when the world is still waking up

• Some time reading a good book

• Going for a walk in nature

• Seeing the ocean, a lake, or a river

• Cozy moments by a fire

• Soaking in a hot bath or hot tub

• Lounging around lazily with my loved ones

• Reconnecting with a friend

• Berries. Or tropical fruit

• A square of good dark chocolate

• A cup of coffee, or tea, as I reflect on life

• A nap

• Stretching or doing a little yoga

• Tidying up

• Watching a sunset

These make me happy. What simple things make you happy?
