Street Encounter Reveals Prayer's True Miracle Power

A girl stopped me on the street, Miracles are granted through the power of prayer. Hello to all my beautiful friends. I am praying for you all, always.

I have a little story I want to share with you today about the power of prayer, and how miracles are granted through prayer.

I'm always telling everyone, if you only knew the power of your prayers, you would never feel hopeless again.

Years ago, a young girl stopped me on the street. She was about sixteen years old.

Straight away, I could tell she was very shy.

"What's your name?" I asked her.

"Sophie," she said.

"Is there something you want to ask me?"

"I'm praying to God for a miracle for my Mum," she said. "My Mum is terminal."

"I'm so sorry to hear that," I said to Sophie. "I'll pray for your Mum and all of the family."

"If God can’t grant that miracle and takes my Mum home to heaven, because that’s where God wants my Mum to be, I understand," she said. "But could you ask God to grant another miracle instead, Lorna? My brother is getting married at the end of the year and it would be wonderful if Mum would be able to stay here with us for another little while, so that she'd be well enough to come to the wedding."

I reached out and held Sophie’s hands. "I'm asking God already," I said.

"It would mean so much to us all," she said. "And I know my Mum would love to be here as well."

Many years later, I heard back that the second miracle had happened for Sophie and her family. And that is the power of prayer.
