Too Busy? Feng Shui Your Schedule!

Are you feeling a little too busy on this Feng Shui Friday?
If we all are allotted the same 24 hours in a day, why have we become a culture that is in constant competition with being “So Busy?!” We are all guilty of it at times, trying to outdo one another with the glorification of our busy calendars.
The simple truth is everyone is busy in “his or her way”. Whether you’re occupied with balancing your domestic duties, attending school, writing that forthcoming book of yours or drawing up the plans for your latest business venture it’s in your control to make time for meaningful connections, to rest and revitalize. Just as we create space and balance by rearranging our environment in Feng Shui we can apply some of the same principals to prioritize how we spend our energy.
Here are a few of my favorite ways to check yo’self and keep from getting sucked into the glorification of being too busy…
1.) Be Still~
When we enter into that “crazy busy” space it’s time to slow down and acknowledge our feelings. What’s keeping you so busy? What would you rather be doing? Taking a minute to pause and gain insight of our core desires will help you create a schedule that feels full vs. overwhelming.
2.) Minimalize~
Gabby Bernstein says it best: “No is a complete sentence.”
Everything on our list of “To do’s” is there because we said yes to it. When we start leading from our truth it’s easy to let go of objects, activities and relationships that rob our time and leave us feeling exhausted.
By simplifying you’re freeing up time to celebrate accomplishments, make important connections or make it to that yoga class you’ve wanted to try!
3.) Schedule Spontaneity~
Having excellent time management skills is the key to a happy schedule! Keeping things organized, planning meals and developing a simple cleaning and beauty routine will give you the freedom to create some space in your day for personal time.
At this time in my life as a full time students and mother of two amongst other responsibilities this means getting up before the sun to have a couple hours to do with what I wish! Where can you create more time to be spontaneous?
I’m not in any way trying to down play your busi~ness, it’s true you are super-important and we all have responsibilities that we have to give attention to BUT focus on filling your time with significance!
Being too busy all of the time makes it difficult to live an enjoyable, rewarding and deliberate life. Use the principles of Feng Shui to cut down on the clutter of your schedule, so it’s easier to live your life with intention.
