Harnessing the Power of Crystals to Energize Your Brand New Home

Harnessing the Power of Crystals to Energize Your Brand New Home

‘Extra-large crystals’ are the latest ‘it’ décor item for the rich and famous, with one West  Hollywood store recently selling a seven-foot, one-ton amethyst ‘throne’ to a lucky buyer for a whopping $45,000. This particular specimen, shaped like a throne, must be one of the most Instagrammable furniture pieces a home could have. Bearing a dark violet hue and tiny sparkles that capture the light, it is an absolute dream for those who wish to relax, heal tension headaches, and clear one’s home (and self) of negative energy. If you wish to leverage the power of crystals but you have a smaller budget, fear not. There are many ways you can do so on a smaller but still powerful scale.

What are the Best Crystals for a New Home?

Not all crystals are created equal, and they certainly don’t all sell at the same price. Just a few you can buy at a relatively large size without breaking the bank are clear quartz, amethyst, rose quartz, and selenite. All of these can bring a cheerful mood to your new home and improve your energy fields. For instance, selenite helps balance the chakras, rose quartz is said to attract love, and clear quartz is often used to heal the body, mind, and spirit of clutter. Of course, you don’t have to buy larger crystals. You can place smaller pieces in a beautiful mother-of-pearl or crystal trinket tray. It is far more important to choose meaningful pieces of crystal than to simply collect the largest you can find.

Letting Family Members Choose Their Own Crystals

If you are making a move with children to another city, town, or countryside area, then you know it can be challenging for them. A Queens University Belfast study has shown that children who move homes many times can struggle with so much change. To ease the transition, visit a crystal shop with your children and let them choose pieces they are naturally attracted to. These pieces can be collected and kept in a decorative bowl in their bedrooms or playrooms. Let them share their choices with friends from back home by organizing Skype calls and taking photographs that can be shared on social media. When new friends come to visit, encourage your kids to show their collection and to share the meaning of all the different crystals with their friends.

What Types of Crystal Furniture and Décor Items Exist?

There are many ways to introduce crystal pieces in your home. Just a few trending items are crystal chairs, coffee tables, benches, and large decorative installations. High-end luxury homes are currently embellishing areas like living rooms with extra-large citrine, white quartz, and rose quartz pieces that give a sanctuary-like feel to these areas. Some are creating crystal rooms, where home dwellers go to relax and detoxify after a stressful day. Others are using crystals to create a calming ambience in their yoga room or reading den. Large crystals are also being split in half, with owners showing the colorful interiors of both sides. Famed shop Sorenity Rocks has a beautiful cut amethyst rock that looks like the wings of a butterfly. Shop owner, Lenise Sóren, loves to stand between them to pose for gorgeous photos. If you get your hands on a large piece, cutting it horizontally is an excellent way to bring out color while getting two crystals for the price of one.

XL crystals are all the rage in home design. If you find a piece you’d like to invest in, make sure to make the most of its beauty by choosing the right cut. Encourage your family to choose pieces they like and once you make your choice, think of the perfect spot in which to show off their beauty and allow them to exert their positive effects on your energy and peace of mind.
