As the editor of the Astrology Arizona newsletter, I compose an overview of each month. Today we take a look at the primary factors for the month.

The Overview for June

In 2025, the month of June jumpstarts the new Saturn in Aries era! Saturn joins Neptune to create the beginning of an entirely different collective vibe than we’ve ever known. We’re now firmly in the Pluto in Aquarius era through 2042, and Neptune’s begun its time in Aries which after a brief return to Pisces this Autumn, will resume in January 2026 and last through 2038.

June begins with very favorable aspects between Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in Gemini with Venus in late Aries and Mars in late Leo. This sets up a productive and easy expression for those parts of our charts, as well as planets we have in the late Fire and Air signs. Mercury and Venus will continue to sextile each other through mid-June, and by late June will be in a highly favorable and specializing quintile.

Of course, the BIG news is that Jupiter leaves Gemini and enters Cancer on June 9. This ends Jupiter’s Gemini mental-informational experience and begins a year of the ruler of our Sag and Pisces sectors being in the sign of personal feelings and anchorage in our “shell of personality” so we can feel safe interacting with others. This is the Teacher in the sign of personal feelings and experiences, encouraging us to find opportunity in fulfilling basic necessities and a sense of closer connection with others in “our tribe.”

Once Jupiter enters Cancer, it immediately squares Saturn and Neptune. This indicates a need to align our values with our ambitions, not get discouraged too easily, find a focus to avoid drifting with the wrong currents, and see the need of the collective. Because Jupiter squares Saturn from 2 Cancer to 2 Aries, and squares Neptune from 3 Cancer to 3 Aries, we’ll need a sense of balance, rhythm, fairness and self-discipline the entire month that the squares are in play.

Mercury will give us our first take on the challenges of these squares between June 7 and 10. The fireworks begin June 13 when Mars square Uranus and Jupiter square Saturn become exact, accompanied by Jupiter square Neptune through the end of the month.

We then have Mars in Virgo in a Yod with Saturn and Neptune sextile Pluto through June 23, showing a time of expansion through sacrifice and necessary adjustments to remove extraneous things we can’t take with us into the new Saturn/Neptune in Aries era. June 20 is the Solstice which is followed by Sun conjunct Jupiter with both making squares to Saturn and Neptune!

Saturn will be within a degree of Neptune through the end of August. These two occupying the beginning of Aries “primes the pump” for February, March, and April 2026 when these stationary points and more are revisited by Saturn and Neptune along with Venus, Sun, Mars and Mercury in March and April.

Neptune going stationary retrograde at 3 Aries, the “avatar” degree in early July, will spread the late March Venus/Sun Inferior conjunction theme far and wide this Summer. This degree announces the future appearance of new world leaders, and new players on the various stages of life. This Summer Saturn goes SRX at 2 Aries in July, beginning a time of learning objectivity through finding the humor in things.

Remember the recent Venus retrograde was from 11 Aries back to 25 Pisces, and Mercury’s retrograde was from 10 Aries back to 27 Pisces. That makes late Pisces and early Aries active zones with themes which will be triggered as Saturn moves through both RX zones between now and May 2026. As Saturn moves across those stationary direct points in Pisces, the cosmic timekeeper will begin crystalizing those themes into form between September 2025 and February 2026.

Because all of the planets are in half the zodiac between Pluto in Aquarius and Mars in Leo (except for when the Moon is in Scorpio and Sagittarius) for the entire month, we maintian a “Bowl” Jones pattern. This pattern is about noticing what we have versus what we lack, what is versus what isn’t, and what we have to give to our world. Pluto leads the Bowl in early Aquarius showing the need to keep our eyes on the big picture and idealistic goal which is still in seed form.

All the action is in the houses where we have Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer. This puts the emphasis on building the sense of Self which is adequate to deal with the world. Mars in Leo has helped us express and release many things since late 2024, and now we can be proactive in our inspired activities and enthusiasms. Once Mars enters Virgo and a lot is squeezed out for better focus, then we are in a practical relatively favorable time through late July, as Mars is sextile and quintile Jupiter this month and next.

Jupiter in Gemini has given a Gemini backdrop to planets we have in Sagittarius and Pisces, as well as the houses where these signs are on the cusp. We now move out of the sign of discovery and new information and into the sign of caring and supply of basic needs in Cancer. Many will find opportunity in taking their discoveries and finding what’s needed to bring forth a more secure life.

Saturn went SD on a degree of showing courage as we focus our spiritual will. Those themes will be in play through November when new themes will replace the old ones. Saturn will be in the first 2 degrees of Aries in June, July, and August, giving us a dress rehearsal for what we can expect in 2026. We’re in a time of “Stepping out of the ocean on to dry land” for the first time since 1996.

Beginning September, we’ll again have Saturn in Pisces requiring that we finish purifying ourselves before we launch into a new life and new world of activity in February, March, and April. We’ll say goodbye to a lot this Autumn and by Winter we’ll be on our way. Abundance is promised for all of us in 2026, and with both Saturn and Neptune in Aries for a long time, it’ll be a new collective atmosphere!

The Spiritual Field

We continue to be blessed by the closest Neptune sextile with Pluto in 30 years. We’re now between two eras: the past/present of Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces, and Pluto in Capricorn, and the present/future of Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius. Each of these “three note chords” creates a powerful linkage in the Spiritual field of productive stability according to the signs involved.

These three will harmonize this Summer when Uranus enters Gemini and forms sextiles with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and is trine by sign with Pluto in Aquarius. This is a powerful “double sextile/trine” which has favorably impacted planets we have in late Earth and Water signs, and now begins to impact the early degrees of the Fire and Water signs.

This is an entirely new experience of Spirit and Life as these Spiritual powerhouses shift out of Earth and Water into Fire and Air. This is Life and Spirit expressed as a new inspiration, with Saturn in Aries providing “real world structure” crystallizing the preliminary Fire and Air harmonic consciousness. That means 2024 and 2025 have spiritually harmonized planets we have in late Earth and Water signs, while in 2025-2026 they are doing the same for planets we have in the early degrees of the Fire and Air signs.

Uranus will occupy the third decan of Taurus through early July 2025. This is a Capricorn sub-influence with an added dose of Saturn, so there’s more structure and discipline and less micromanagement of details. The Cosmic Awakener promises us a new life and a “genuine rejuvenation” and life renewal as a result of what we went through in August and September 2024.

We’ve been moving through an individual and spiritual awakening which marks the beginning of a long term regeneration and renewal wherever we have late Taurus. This is the next step of the 14 year cycle which began in April 2024 with the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction promising us all a new life. Pluto in Aquarius puts us on the cusp of historic change. Its last RX station at 4 Aquarius now begins a review of what will heal us, or perhaps a sense of our inner regenerative power to “make things whole.” This degree is about hidden powers being made manifest in some form of healing or “restoration of health.” So open to your latent “healing powers,” or abilities to restore a natural harmony to circumstances. Be fearless in making decisions.

We also have several long wave Aries cycles in play. Jupiter launched a major healing and mentoring cycle when it conjuncted Chiron at 15 Aries on March 11, 2023. That began a long wave Chiron cycle which will last until the Summer of 2036.

Not all Chiron cycles are the same length. When Chiron transits between Aquarius and Gemini, it moves relatively slowly and has conjunctions with Jupiter about every 13 years. However, it can take 19-20 years for the next conjunction after Gemini or Cancer. That means once the conjunction at 16 Gemini happens in the Summer of 2036 we won’t have another conjunction of Jupiter and Chiron until the Spring of 2056 in Aquarius, which will launch another long term “expansive healing/mentoring” cycle.

Mars

Mars is now picking up speed for many months to come after going SD at 18 Cancer in late February. This month it’s accelerating through late Leo and early Virgo. As noted earlier, at the beginning of June it has favorable aspects with the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune.

As the Sun and Jupiter both are harmonious with Mars the entire month, it should be good for getting things done with both flair and efficiency. There’s a lot of creative releases the first half of the month, and adjustments to promote efficiency during the last half.

This month Mars activates the house(s) where we have 22 Leo through 8 Virgo. June 1-16 finds Mars between 22-30 Leo, creating an agitating effect on planets between 22-30 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. June 17-30 finds Mars agitating planets between 1 and 8 Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

We have 2 particularly volatile periods: the first is when Mars squares Uranus between June 8 and 19, and when Mars makes its Yod with Saturn/Neptune and Pluto between June 17 and 24. The square counsels caution as we move into an extraordinary time of radical transformations and “graduation into a new realm of Being.” Be as compassionate as possible, and if necessary, “plead the cause of love.”

As I’ve offered before, when Mars is within a degree of forming or separating from a hard aspect with a planet, slow down and show deliberation and caution in how you use force. Hard aspects to/from Mars require that we moderate or antidote impulsiveness and impatience.

We’re Actors On A New Stage With A New Set – The Bigger Picture

We’re still in the initial years of a new era in human evolution. The Grand Mutation of Jupiter conjunct Saturn at 1 Aquarius began a new 20 year Aquarian Era in December 2020, as well as a new 200 year era, moving global energies out of Earth and into Air. We’ve begun to grow beyond the materialism of the past 200 years and have entered 2 centuries of Air emphasis, with its qualities of relatedness, receptivity, versatility, movability, lightness, and cooperative ideas, visions, and ideals.

We’re still "under the beams" of the Solar Eclipses of 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and these “cosmic recyclers” continue to remove what we no longer need in our lives. Take note of where you have 1 Cancer, 24 and 13 Sagittarius, 20 Gemini, 10, 20 and 30 Aries, 11 Taurus, 11 and 22 Libra, and 2 Scorpio, since we’ve all had to let go of many things related to these sectors the past few years. As we study how successive Eclipses have affected various areas of our charts and lives, we can get a sense of the utility of these “Cosmic Recyclers” in removing what we no longer needed in those areas, creating a void which attracted new experiences. They invite us to see the continuity of “letting go, taking in, letting go, taking in” across the years.

Primary Action Beats for the First Half of the Month

June begins under the beams of the late May New Moon at 7 Gemini, showing this month is about having faith in our ability to find what we need to nourish us. There is high productivity and specialization promised by that New Moon which fulfills itself in the late June “Christfest,” or “World Teacher Full Moon” which will pour out a new Wisdom to the world. We’ll all be able to see and know greater truths and core principles this month.

The first week of the month brings Venus sextile Jupiter and Mercury sextile Mars, showing a VERY productive time across multiple life sectors. The week ends with Venus entering Taurus and Mercury sextile Chiron, marking a major shift in how we move through what we like and want to reflect on.

The Moon moves from Leo to Scorpio during the first week; the evening of June 1 pay attention to what happens, since the Moon in Virgo anticipates the Yods in play around the Solstice. There are crosscurrents on June 2 and 3, with important “images of the future” coming forth on June 4. There are very favorable Lunar aspects on June 4, 5, and 6, but adjust however you need to on June 6 and 7.

The second week of the month brings Mercury conjunct Jupiter and then entering Cancer where it squares Saturn and Neptune through June 10. The second week is one of radical challenge and change, with Venus also square Pluto between June 8 and 10 with Jupiter entering Cancer on June 9 and beginning its squares.

We have the Full Moon/World Teacher Festival on June 11, and with Mars trine Chiron and Mercury sextile Venus, we can expect the global Wisdom will be related to the need to share ideas and learn through imitation. That Full Moon will bring two weeks of healing and inspired relationships which help us move things forward.

The Moon moves from Scorpio to Aquarius during the second week of the month. As there are so many difficult aspects, go slow and be careful in all you do and all you agree to. Stay balanced and inspired on June 11, be organized on June 12 to 14, but watch out between June 13 and 16 when Mars square Uranus is exact!

Primary Action Beats for the Second Half of the Month

The third week begins under the beams of the World Teacher Full Moon, which as noted, will bring healing, balance, and a new perspective. The third week begins with the erratic Mars square Uranus and Jupiter square Saturn, so hold on as everything intensifies and the expansive force is grinding up against current structures.

Jupiter square Neptune is exact all week and the Mars Yod with Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto is also exact June 18 through 24. Add the Solstice conjunct Jupiter and square Saturn and Neptune through the New Moon on June 25 at 5 Cancer, and you can see the entire second half of the month is volatile and conflicted, with conditions demanding positive change in a new direction.

In the third week of the month the Moon travels from Aquarius to Taurus, and makes favorable aspects on June 17, 18, 20 and 21. Still, because of the pressure of the friction involving the other planets, be cautious in all you do, but if you have to act, be balanced and organized.

The fourth week of June continues the pressure of the third week, with Sun square Saturn and Neptune coupled with a Yod of Mars sextile Jupiter and both quincunx Pluto. Adjust, adapt, sacrifice, and get focused. It may feel like an ordeal, but expect “invisible help when human efforts seem to fail” leading to overcoming prejudices and expectations.

The New Moon at 5 Cancer portends a “karmic adjustment” which will spin things around in late June and the first half of July. The good news is that Mercury enters Leo on June 26 and immediately begins its trine with Saturn and Neptune. With the opposition to Pluto in play through June 29, that configuration sets up favorable progress and clarity for planets we have in the early degrees of the Fire and Air signs.

The last 10 days of the month finds the Moon moving between Aries and Libra, making favorable aspects on June 22, 25, 26, 27 and 29. The Sun conjunct Jupiter on June 24 gives Jupiter a lot of power to push past any Saturn barrier or Neptune confusion. Just be balanced and disciplined and you’ll do fine. The end of the month teaches us we don’t have to continue to pursue dangerous or futile lines of action, so be clear about the truth in all matters, and stay focused on the positive potentials rather than the limiting conditions.

Evolutionary Development

This is the fifth month of the North Node in Pisces era! This is a time to grow through empathy, compassion, and forgiveness, demonstrated through our sense of service. We will grow in our “nonlocal awareness” and tune into what Neptune and Saturn have taught us about Pisces while “showing what we know” wherever we have late Virgo.

The Sun in Gemini is the time to see the Light of “illuminated discoveries” on material, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels of life. As Gemini discovers the information we need to move the idealistic vision of Aquarius forward, take this month to get a new take on whatever calls you at the deepest and highest levels of your Being.

We are now early in our fifth year of the new Aquarian era, with a new iteration of that future-oriented energy having come forth in February. Jupiter in Taurus helped us get a new grounded expansive view of how to sustain the Aquarian unfoldment which is finding forms of expression while Jupiter is in Gemini. We’ve all entered a new land. Let go of the lesser, accept the greater, and the new land you’re in is going to be far more enjoyable than the old land you’ve had to leave.

Because we’ve begun the fifth year of a new 20 year and 200 year cycle, remember a new era has dawned. Have courage and take the initiative to leave the Earth and fly free into the Air of what’s opening as the Grand Mutation expands its promise into the Divine transfigured ideal of a more just truth and future. While it may not look like that now, it’s just the beginning!

Even though the ideal is far away, we are the midwives and mid-husbands to a new way of relating to Life, Energy, Consciousness, each other, and the Earth Herself. Because our essential nature is Loving Wisdom, remember to lighten up, play a little, and be willing to explore new arenas of effective activity where you can work and play with other Light Spirits. This is the time to take heart as we navigate the dawning of the Pluto in Aquarius era.

We are now collectively transfiguring into a greater vision of the one Light/Life we all are together. Continue to find your heart strength and new forms of genuine happiness appropriate for who you are now, and who you are becoming relative to just a few months ago.

We now navigate the cosmic time-space between endings and beginnings so bless and forgive much to flow down the time stream. The past is over and we all have begun our trek into a new world of new potential, new adventures, and new ways to enjoy being ourselves while doing our work of Destiny. Open to the abundance of the process of growth, since we are all on a rocket ship to the stars!
